You should try some original discs, either DVD and CD. It happens soon or later for the trimmers to loose the calibration.
I adjusted them on my Ps2 slim a couple days ago since it wasn't reading anymore.

Looks like you want to run burned backup copies but your console still failed to read it. I want to ask one thing - does your console have modchip installed?

If your console is capable of running original PS2 game imports or even bootlegged copies in certain areas, thus your console is capable of reading burned backups without going through ISO patching that tricks the console thinking you're inserting DVD movie disc and can be only run via FMCB.

If your console is modded but having difficulties in accessing any kind of disc, then the laser is now damaged or wear out.

i have 3 ps2 super slims and 2 phat, i tryed a dvd movie in all the slims and it could not be read and when i tryed it in the phat it started, looks like my ps2 slims dont read disks dont know why

Check also a CD (better if you have a game, but also a music CD is good).

Then you should try regulating the trimmers, se here:

PS2 Potentiometer Adjustment - Disk Read Error Fix - YouTube

Also clean the lens and the 2 bottom plates as showed in this video:

PS-2 Slim model fix for discs not reading - YouTube

If you don't have a multimeter, adjust the DVD trimmer by a couple millimeters clockwise as shown in the video and try a DVD (without re-assemblng the Ps2. Just re-mount the lens with the 2 little screws, connect the power cable to the console, insert the DVD and press the 2 lid sensors with your fingers).
If it doesn't work, starting from the position the trimmer was at first (make sure to remember or mark it before to do any regulation), adjust a couple millimeters anti-clockwise.

If you try a CD and it also doesn't work, do the same with the CD trimmer.

Then, if you have a compressor, also blow on the fan (inside, from the upper part), probably a little cloud of dust will comes out.
If you remove the fan is even better, you can clean it more easilly and also blow on the intakes where the fan is placed upon.

now i have opened the ps2 slimm and cleand it all the lens and cover and the fan and everything, then i removed the sell to reset it but after i closed it and turned it on the lens keep making high sound and the screen is red, i tryed holding the power button then it show ps2 logo then go to settings in japan language after i clear the setting it reset if i turned it off, then i tryed to put the lens in other ps2 and i cuted the cable mistaking after 7hours of work i lost everything

What did you removed, the sell?

Btw if the lens was doing noise probably you didn't mounted it correctly (for example the guide on the left. If you didn't pay attention, you can put the lens cart above instead of the central joint). Have you made sure with your fingers that the lens cart was correclty sliding before powering on?

Well, I destroyed my first Ps3 MB for lack of patience, so I understand you :(

Anyway you can easilly find those flat cables online (ebay, Aliexpress). They sell them in packs of 10 for 1$ or so.

If i have PS2 Fat with Internal HDD and Matrix Modbo v3.1 which step i need to use? I thought it was FHDB method but i'm pretty confused about it. Thank you.

  1. Write uLE kHn to HDD ("mbr" one, it is mini HDD disk image, so use i.e HDD Raw Copy Tool). PS2 will launch this automatically on start.
  2. Format HDD (misc > HDD Manager > R1 > Format) and do not turn off console or You will again need repeat step one.
  3. Run FMCB/FHDB Installer (if You want original menu hacked) or SoftDEV2 Installer (if You want autoboot to OPL - from USB.
FHDB Could not work with Your modchip, as it doesn't with many. But You will not know that until You try.

Hello, I was using the RAW image the guide provided with a drive I filled with 0s previously, and after the process finished the drive stopped being detected by my PC. WinHIIP doesn't detect it either. Is it normal? Should I be worried? Can't check with the actual PS2 because I'm still waiting for my network adapter clone to arrive.

That's not normal so you should worry a bit. Is your drive set to Master?

Seeing how the drive I prepared to be used with my PS2 was completely clean in the first place, I don't think so. I bought it used a day before specifically to use with PS2 and it was already clean when I first connected it to my PC's motherboard. I only did an additional 0 fill just to make sure.
Checking it again in the drive manager, my PC does see it as being there. It just has no volume assigned to it.

It is IDE or it is SATA?

Then I have no clue.... Dirty connectors?
I created a simple volume and did a zero fill again, and repeated the whole process with the RAW image. Now my PC does detect the drive volume as being there, but when I try to access it it turns out to be unavailable. WinHIIP doesn't detect it. A different result.
Is this how it should have worked or not?
