And that is the reason. You didn't read tutorial or this thread, because You would also copy xRegistry where NP Account ID are for all users.I have only copied the 0000001 folder

Hi, I finally got a bigger hard drive and use flash. Put it in FAT-32 format. Unfortunately, can't just use default PS3 backup utility. Tried following instructions but pretty difficult. Got the Registry, can't seem to find the EID root key. I have multi-man installed. Got the error "800283e4" when trying to back-up regularly. Figured this would be easy, but probably should have done this before installing CFW
Is EID root key required?
I can't use ps3 backup utility because I keep getting errors, but I already backed up trophies and save data using Aldo Tools. Can I just use a file manager like Multi-man to transfer files on the USB? it looks like game data might all be in _dev_hdd0. I also have some games from the PSN store I downloaded. I'd like those obviously, but since it's hacked I probably won't re-login into the PSN account, even to reactivate.
ERK is a key for access data to HDD outside PS3 because from this key, HDD keys are generated. So in case Your console die one day and You didn't backup some stuff, You still be able to do it without repairing console (HDD encryption is per console, so another console will not accept data on this drive because it will not be able to decrypt any sector from it).

Read the tutorial in which thread Your talking. :P All places are there explained. Can I just use a file manager like Multi-man to transfer files on the USB? it looks like game data might all be in _dev_hdd0. I could use a bit of help with this.
Before installing CFW on my console, I was on there with my SEN account and such. I'd honestly rather not be connected to SEN anymore, so I know I'll have to reinstall all my games. (If I read it right, my games won't reappear unless I reconnect to the Sony network) I can deal with that, but for the life of me, I can't get my game saves to work. Even when I re-sign them in Apollo, I can't seem to get them to work.
If I import my old SEN profile over, the saves will seemingly work, but then my SEN info is on there, and that's always a bit of a risk.
I'd LIKE to be able to start a fresh profile (with the same name), but NOT have it connected to SEN, and still have my game saves work.
Please advise. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the quick reply. After you create the new profile, with that profile selected on your PS3 you must create a fake act.dat file. Once you have that file, you can resign all your savefiles to be used only with your new profile.
I don't see any connection between not using SEN and reinstalling games. That have no sense to me.I'd honestly rather not be connected to SEN anymore, so I know I'll have to reinstall all my games.
SEN connection have nothing to do with games appearing in XMB. Again, I don't know from where this conclusion came from.(If I read it right, my games won't reappear unless I reconnect to the Sony network)
Who tells You need to login to SEN? Especially that now it requires 2FA and is super annoying to do.If I import my old SEN profile over, the saves will seemingly work, but then my SEN info is on there, and that's always a bit of a risk.
That means You need resign all saves for target profile which must be first enriched by NP Account ID (must be activated and Apollo give it some random ID if I'm not mistaken).I'd LIKE to be able to start a fresh profile (with the same name), but NOT have it connected to SEN, and still have my game saves work.
Using the same console only, excluding trophies and licenses.
