Hi. I made a small update to the build script, does this build make any difference for you?
https://github.com/Roet-Ivar/Webman-Classics-Maker/releases/tag/webman-classics-maker-3.0.0-beta1 consider this one depreciated.

if there is no python in system have to copy pkg.py to path \resources\tools\ps3py in windows > system32 then it build package file without error (have to run .exe with admin )

or

after installing python 3.9 it works without any changes

will test that script with changes

That's interesting!
So maybe I haven't tested w/o having any python added in the environmental variables before. I'll make a note of that, thank you for testing.

EDIT: ok so I see that I actually had a system dependency that require python3 installed on the system when using the exe (which defeats the purpose a little bit). Anyway, I re-wrote that to remove this dependency for you here:
https://github.com/Roet-Ivar/Webman-Classics-Maker/releases/tag/webman-classics-maker-3.0.0-beta3

If you uninstall or remove python from your environmental variables, does it work for you now?
(@640x480P not sure if this release might solve your issue as well?)

working good for now
exactly old one had some path issues and it search pkg.py in \resources\tools\ps3py in system32 instead of parent directories and hence build failed

it does, create the pkg file and install it

yet when i try to run the game it does the "reboot", mounts and i get two errors

- error! hen does not support PS2 ISO, use encrypted game
- error! dev_hdd0/PS2ISO/Ace combat Zero - The Belkan War.iso

could be that that i'm running mmCM and webman mod? (i don't know how to "unload" the first one)

These errors are reported by webMAN MOD when the user tries to mount a PS2 ISO using HEN. The second error is consequence of the first error.

You must encrypt your PS2 ISO to get an encrypted version with extension .BIN.ENC
Use Apollo Save Tool or multiMAN to encrypt the PS2 ISO.

Copy the encrypted .BIN.ENC in /dev_hdd0/PS2ISO, install PS2 Placeholder and scan the games again.

The game should be launched through the PS2 Placeholder (aka PS2 Classics Launcher).

This is interesting!
So I just got myself a spare 3K model and it runs a PSX ISO files via webman using webman classics launcher method (pkg launch). Sorry if I missed something but I got the impression from your reply this should not work? I need to get back to testing a PS2 ISO, I think I might've only tested a PSX ISO so far. If that's the case I need to update my description to not mislead anyone.

EDIT: yes, you're right. My launcher targets a bin-file, so it's probably encrypted.

@aldostools Hi again, sorry for bumping you. So I haven't had much experience with HEN and just wanted to manually mount a BIN.ENC file from USB via webman but it says the file cannot be found. USB might not be compatible with HEN? Annoyingly i don't have space on the super slim for a full ISO file.

PS2 games (either .ISO or .BIN.ENC) are only playable from the internal /dev_hdd0

webMAN MOD allows to mount PS2 games from USB devices, but first the file needs to be copied to the internal /dev_hdd0 before complete the mount process.

If the option Delete + Unmount net/ntfs cached ISO is checked in /setup.ps3, the file is removed from the internal HDD when the game is unmounted to recover the used disk space.

If there is not free space in HDD, the PS2 game simply cannot be mounted.

Thanks for elaborate reply as usual!
I've now been testing PS2 BIN.ENC with my webman classics launcher and it has no real use-case over building PS2 Classics. I'll update the first page.

PS2.ISO can have an use with your tool, but BIN.ENC or PSP ISO need a launcher after the game is mounted.
Just to be clear, so there is no way for HEN users to run a PS2.ISO as of my understanding?

For CFW this method is great, I'm really happy with all the pros like being able to just dump or FTP an ISO to my machine and quickly remote install a launcher.

I found a problem:
With PS3 ISO, it works perfectly. But with PS2 ISO there is a bug. With PS2 ISO the game does not run. It gets stuck on a black screen and nothing else works, I have to force shutdown the PS3

And another thing I noticed: It changes the "label" of games from PS2 to PS3 after the process. Making the system interpret the game as if it were a PS3 game when using the division of groups by folder.

I have a problem with 3.0.0-beta3. In "Path" the correct adress is not displayed. In "Path" the correct adress is not displayed. I separated the PSX ISOs into subfolders under "PSXISO". The fact is that in "Path" this subfolder is omitted, so the PKG always directs to the root and not to the corresponding subfolder. For example, instead of saying "PSXISO/045/Gran Turismo", it says "PSXISO/Gran Turismo".
If I go to "game_list_data.json", the adress is displayed correctly as "PSXISO/045/Gran Turismo", but as I say, the PKG that is created keeps the wrong adress. I don't know how it can be solved. Thanks.
