PS3 webman fan 100% on boot

hello i have a problem with webman mod on my fat cechp04 for a while now.
everytime i enable webman mods fan control it goes 100% fan speed on every boot, i've read that this is a bug with cechl04 models, is there a fix for it?
i really like irismans fan control but i have to manually enable it which can get annoying after a every boot... i also read that you can edit boot_plugins.txt like "/dev_hdd0/game/IRISMAN00/sprx_sm" to get it working on boot but this never worked for me.

hope someone has a fix for this.
 
Had fixed this issue with exchange of nor flash memory in the past. You really need tools for electronics to do this.
You can try some software ways but it will come back with time. Had one model tested for about 4 months and after updating firmware rsod apeard again. On this unit I have tried only software. After rsod, I changed Samsung nor flash with Spansion model with N. This was only way. This unit was refurbished completely by myself :reball, delid and nek capacitors exchanged.
Since 2018 and it still works well at 65 both cpu and gpu wit webman at 40.

dev_hdd0/game/IRISMAN00/sprx_sm.sprx ;)

on cech-l models, flipping the main power switch (on back of ps3) off and back on again AFTER normal shutdown can help with this problem...but it must be done everytime you turn off ps3. i dont know if the same problem affects cech-p models but it may help to try it also.

Actually the IRISMAN plugin for fan control is named "sprx_sm" without the .sprx extension.

That's the original name used in Iris Manager. I didn't change it.

Recent builds of webMAN MOD (1.47.28 and above) have a minimum fan speed (default 25%) and a maximum fan speed (default 80%).

I suggest you to update to the most recent build and try limiting the maximum fan speed to 50% or 60% and check if the issue still persists.

Also there is an alternative fan control algorithm named "Auto #2" that behaves very similar to IRISMAN's fan control, except that the fan table is not configurable.

I did some testing and limiting max fan speed to 40 did not work..
I restarted the ps3 in every way i found out it has sometimes to do with the on/off touch button + webman because hard/soft reboot & turning ps3 on with controller do not have this issue.
And it happens as soon i touch the on button.
Cechp04 is the same model as cechl04 (same motherboard).
 
I have a CECHP01, and i had the problem, is it something like this?
if so, there's no getting around, it's a common glitch with CECHL/M/P models, what i do is, once i turn the console off, i just switch the back power switch off and on, that "resets" the last known fan speed, and you console will boot normally

Yes as soon as i touch the on/off button..
I didnt think that would work but that seemed to fix this glitch thanks a lot!
 
what model? cech-??

AFAIK only the cech-l and cech-p have this problem. you can try flipping switch in back off and on again after shutdown completes to reset the fan.
