PS3 webMAN MOD - Web Commands

No, I don't have a list. The first homebrew that I remember that is not blocked is PKGi.
Yeah you are right, it's not blocked because PKGi id is similar to the official ids.

If @aldostools said it's not related to webMAN MOD but related to Cobra/HEN/Mamba, can it still be edited in XMB in someway with the help of your custom menus and wMM? That's what I was suggesting in the first place =).

Yeap the file can be created using webMAN commands,

/write.ps3/dev_hdd0/tmp/blacklist.cfg&t=NP00PKGI3

@Lambada please if you can search for more homebrews that needs to be blacklisted i'll make it as a xmbml menu, because just for one ID it is pointless, i think it's better to include in the pkg instead of a menu.

I'm in a backup process of two PS3 Slims because I'm going to switch HDDs between them, put thermal paste, etc... so after I'm done I will try my best and contact you. Thanks mate!

Hey, I have an issue with Webman on Hen 3.0.3 on HFW 4.88. Ever since installing the new Webman Mod it will not let access the PSN, it gives me the error 80028e06 and after searching up this error code it was saying I was having internet issues but later found out that wasn't the issue because I uninstalled and my problem was solved but I would still like to use Webman on my system and as well go online.

I know some people with the same problem but in older versions.

Please provide screenshots of your webMAN config and more details, if you have other plugins and etc, so aldo can identify it better,

I mean I haven't even touched anything on it, I just installed the newest version and tried to sign in and it just wouldn't let me sign in.

@aldostools

i'm having trouble with remap while messing with the Blocked PSN mod by @DeViL303

I have one XMBML menu to Enable/Disable the PSN Access

I'm using

Enable:

/browser.ps3$restore_servers;/write.ps3/dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_config.bin&t=00&pos=0x148;/popup.ps3/OK!;/remap.ps3/dev_flash/vsh/resource/npsignin_plugin.rco&to=/dev_hdd0/game/PROTOOLBX/USRDIR/TOOLBOX/patches/npsignin/npsignin_plugin_enabled.rco

Disabled: (This one is different than the one in wm_res because it will show info that the syscalls are not disabled)
/browser.ps3$block_servers;/write.ps3/dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_config.bin&t=02&pos=0x148;/remap.ps3/dev_flash/vsh/resource/npsignin_plugin.rco&to=/dev_hdd0/game/PROTOOLBX/USRDIR/TOOLBOX/patches/npsignin/npsignin_plugin_disabled.rco

They work good via webbrowser but not from the XMB ( the remap is being ignored)

Other thing that i realized in the web browser is if the remap is the first command it will give a 404 bad request

eg:

/remap.ps3/dev_flash/vsh/resource/npsignin_plugin.rco&to=/dev_hdd0/game/PROTOOLBX/USRDIR/TOOLBOX/patches/npsignin/npsignin_plugin_enabled.rco;/browser.ps3$restore_servers;/write.ps3/dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_config.bin&t=00&pos=0x148;/popup.ps3/OK!

I should debug your web commands when i have some time to answer your question.

You could try moving the remap to the last fommand.

Or use a batch script file to perform all these commands.

If the CFW syscalls are disabled the remap will not work.

I *think* this is the thread to post WEBMAN MOD enhancement requests....If not, let me know and I will post in general

I have ps3netsrv setup to serve PS3,PS2,PSX and PSP

Since PS2 needs to copy the disc from server to local HDD, I end up with 2 entries for the same game after each webMan scan
One on HDD and one on NET0

Is it possible to do a 1st entry sorted my location so only 1 entry appears?
Example:
I want play GAME1 and it is currently only on net0/PS2ISO
I launch it and it has to copy the image from net0 to hdd0 then plays off of hdd0
*I do a webMAN scan for any reason and it rescans my PS2ISO

Now in webMAN Games Playstation 2 folder I have
GAME1
hdd0/PS2ISO
GAME1
net0/PS2ISO

*If I had it on USB also, that too, would have an entry

I am thinking that if you did a 1st entry and the devices are always in alphabetical order
hdd
net0
ntfs
usb

...it would always choose HDD if available and also the fastest performance

>It just a cosmetic suggestion

Not sure if that is a great idea tbh, This leaves no option to try the other version. If one version had mods applied, or if one version has issues and seemed to be corrupt you might want to test the original.

For example if you wanted to try the version on USB you would have to remove all the other versions and then scan again.

Maybe it could be an option to disable showing duplicated games.

How about a toggle?
Also, could a FAVORITES category be created?
I have 180+ PS3 images, 280+ PSP

If I want to play Mortal Kombat, I got to sift through 60 entries. If I want to play ZZZZombie (made up name), I have to sift through all 180 (or 280)

My "Flavor of the Month" Favorites are
Mortal Combat Komplete (PS3)
Angry Birds (PSP)
UNO (PS3)
Rage (PS3)
Nail'd (PS3)
Hot Shots Golf 3 (PS2)
Rollcage (PSX)

So they are all over the place

*Not a big deal to hunt and load them, its not like I am running up a hill made of soft sand - lol

You can easily make a custom category for your favorites

Just edit dev_hdd0/game/UPDWEBMOD/USRDIR/xmb/wm_custom.xml with your favorite games.

Edit: I was thinking here if we can go to the webMAN settings page, click on GAMES Tab and them we can do a right click to open de context menu with an option ADD TO FAVORITES and it automatically is added to the Favorites Category.

Or even better, since webMAN recognizes holding X to start a game automatically, if it can recognize another buttor like SQUARE while mounting a game to add the game to the Favorites category.

Having both features will be awesome, so we can set it via xmb and from any device with web browser

Sorry Aldo, :tranquillity:

But seems i was tired yesterday when i wrote that message lol

I was messing with it at 4:00 a.m and i just realized i was writing the commads in the wrong item :biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2:

It is working as it is intended, I can't believe i tried it for about 2 hrs and i was writing it in the wrong XML item :bitsbubba:

:facepalm

Yeap moving the remap to the last command via web browser does the trick hehe, sorry for bothering you for nothing

Or maybe if the game has the same MD5 hash it's indentified as a duplicate and only one shows? Or maybe if it's duplicated it gets condensed in one entry, and if you enter this entry you see the 2+ locations of this games/duplicated ISOS. Similar to MAME PC rom frontends...

Why don't we use the official CONTEXT MENU from XMB and add an entry called Add to Favorites?
The context menu (options menu) will be accessed by pressing :but tri: just like in the example below:
xmb002.jpg

https://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps3/current/basicoperations/xmb.html

Also other options could be added such as ENABLE WIDESCREEN (for PS2 ISOs), which PS1 emulator to load that ISO (ps1_emu ps1_netemu), etc.

EDIT: Added reply to @LuanTeles .

That would be nice, but checking MD5s for a load of large files like games will take a long time.

We can't add anything to the side menu, we don't have the source code for that and no one has reverse engineered it so far

If I am not mistaken Rebug CFW has a context menu with options related to Trophies (in the trophy section I think), and for me it looks like a custom menu entry (or maybe is something official or related to debug). Do you guys remember this context menu entry?
If it was done, maybe it can be ported / hacked to other places in XMB.

Maybe wMM could cache this infos somewhere so it would load faster the next time. Maybe using a feature like prepISO to scan all the content and store the md5 hashes.

Edit: Sorry for posting consecutively. Im using my cellphone right now, if there is a mod around (@Coro ) could you merge my last two posts?

How about a checksum against the ISO name and size? A modified ISO would have different size. No need to scan entire ISO

*Wait are there 100's of people who modify and rebuild ISOs and keep different versions or is this a 1/10th of 1% situation?

It's official DEX stuff, I've never seen anyone add anything custom to the side menu.

It is probably not that hard to actually add the item to menu visually, but getting it to actually do something would require adding functions to explore_plugin.sprx which would be very hard. We do not have the source code, so we can only really make small patches like blocking stuff or redirecting stuff to different existing functions.

Well it's not just ISOs, there are folder rips too.

MD5 checking a 5GB game takes about 3 minutes on my PC (6 Core i7 extreme reading game from SSD).

Creating databases of thousands of entries and then checking every game against it just to save someone scrolling past 1 extra icon seems like a lot of work too, is it 1/10th of 1% who are actually bothered by this.
