What I need to do to jailbreak my PS3???

Hello community, I have my PS3 since 2 years ago, and is untill now I want to JailBreak it, I'm reading from multiple sites, some ones says that I have to Downgrade others says that is no necessary. Well I register in this forum looking for help.

My PS3 is the Slim, the software is 4.66 and the model is CECH-3001B.

I appreciate some link where I can follow the instructions.

Other thing is How this thing of JailBreak works, I mean, how do I install and play a game, and what happen when the PS ask for update his software.

From what I have read you cannot downgrade a 3K model like yours. Therefore custom firmware is not possible. Only option is a ODE device that nobody can guarentee how long they will last. Not the best option. Try finding a second hand PS3 that has a lower base/factory firmware. Here is a reference. LINK

That I understand is I can't jailbreak my PS3, is that what you mean it???
 
Yes it's exactly.

No jailbreak for Slim 3K because she's the encryption key METLDR2.

As said Tranced, perhaps ODE but not sure the DMC for 3K is available. I don't follow the news about ODE
 
There is NOTHING that sucks about buying games. Don't condone piracy by any nature. Sucks that you can't make backups of your legit games so if they are broken they don't have to be purchased again though....
