PS3 What is the cause of black screens in games?

So i was playing BIOHAZARD 5 (ISO format, CFW 4.89, webMAN 4.89) as normal and i got a black screen in the middle of the game.

It's a first time that i got black screen in the middle of a game, it happened before, launching games but not in the middle of a game .
To be fair, i was in a "Intense moment" with a good amount of enemies in screen and can be the game run out of memory?

I was wondering what can be the cause of it? Once i press the PS buttom and enter in XMB webMAN is gone. I have to install it again, i launched the game again and the issue is gone, it seems to happen at random times.

Black screen could be obtained by diverse causes. The most frequent are:
- Lack of memory (e.g. custom plugins using too much memory)
- Missing resource (e.g. game or system trying to access a missing file or wrong path)
- System panic (e.g. hypervisor detecting access to a protected memory area)
- Bad media or corrupted files or ISO.

The debug cobra payload + socat may show a more detailed information the the black screen occurs.
However it may cause also other bugs due the additional memory usage and processes.

Try unloading webMAN MOD or using Lite edition if the error persists, to discard the lack of memory.

Thanks, probably is the reason of missing source, i was using another users save game.

Out of context, i started to get this weird bug when i desactivate syscalls.

When i desactivate syscalls in XMB it won't let me log in PSN, only when I get the message that deactivates syscalls, there it just lets me log in to PSN.
Any idea what may be the cause of it, it started doing that out of nothing.

I will try blocking

/dev_hdd0/tmp/wm_res/npsignin_plugin.rco

It's a shame, the PSN access blocker is very useful to prevent going online with syscalls on, But is a bit clunky trying to disable syscalls only in the PSN log in menu instead of the XMB.
Strange bug i would say.
