Well, I think it is a general name. There are mechanical HDDs and Solid State HDDs. You can refer to HDDs in general when writing HDD.
What is the technical term (if there is any) to refer to HDDs and SSDs?

I think exactly those you said. But there's no reason to specify it in OPL (also because the Ps2 SSD support isn't a OPL feature. SSDs just work on Ps2 like IDE and SATA HDD also with all other programs), it should be enough the generic term HDD.
Same about USB. It isn't PENDRIVE/USB HDD, just USB.
The interface/adapters is what matters. Also the compatibility varies from one model to another (for this reason there are lists like this: PS2 Hard Drive Compatibility Chart (x-pec.com) )
It has to do with answering...What does not being able to make proper quotes has to do with that Rev subject?
Because you have the longterm memory of a fruitfly (which I also told you before)!I don't recall you saying that 3 or four times.
I don't need to imagine anything... I am doing all of this on a phone for the whole time. Yet another of your strawman arguments falling apparent like a house of cards in a slight blow of wind.Regardless of that, it's obvious for you but anyway, just imagine doing that in the phone when you need to quote a lot of sentences.
I haven't confused anything you demented moron. That was YOU! I quoted the exact sentence I replied to. Something you you still fail to do even ONCE!You confuse others and then you say it's my fault?
I can do whatever I want (in the sense of answering or not)!If I'm a lost case then why do you keep answering me?
Yadi-yada... Pulling mure poop out of your butthole, just to avoid facing the fact what a moron you are...Especially if he is told to not use releases from another site and the recommended compatibility lists mention them.
Sure, but those people learn after a FIRST hint. You don't, even after 20 hints...If so, you confirm that I'm not the only one doing bad quotes
Lollike I told you
I am/We are pointing to FACTS, which you choose to ignore! That's not an attack...and so I don't know why you attack me
Yeah, so much for you blind nut ignoring that I pointed to the very same fact to the other commenter, right at the end of my comment!so much about it when other users do the same thing.
You are NOT SAYING things here, nor were you "talking"...... It is text!!! *facepalm*When I said "ignore", I was talking about not answering me.
As a moderator I have administrative duties in this forum. I am active in the PS2-Section... WHAT is not clear about that? It says it ALL!You're forced to answer to all users asking for help just because you're a moderator?
SINCE WHEN "WHAAAAAAT"?Since when?
First off all that's a fallacy-logic.If one says to not use releases from other site the logic says to not mention tutorials and compatibility lists regarding them or at least remove them after finding out they shouldn't be used if the motive was only found afterwards. How can you say you think after this?
That claim is ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT again...If OPL works with SSDs, why is it said it only works with HDDs and not HDDs/SSDs?
"(Data) Storage-device"What is the technical term (if there is any) to refer to HDDs and SSDs?
YES!So, OPL should work with compatible IDE/SATA SSDs (and I suppose compatible IDE/SATA SSHDs)?
Endless unrelated questions...Just ouf of curiosity, what more IDE/SATA devices are there and that would work with OPL (besides HDD/SSD/SSHD)?
That question makes NO SENSE AT ALL...! You asked for MORE devices beside HDDs, SSDs......Does that list also include SSDs and SSHDs or just HDDs?
What about @Peppe90 's reply - where he specifically wrote that this is ABOUT THE CONNECTION and NOT THE STORAGE DEVICE - was it this time, which you didn't understand? When the OPL compatibility lists mention HDD, do they include SSD and SSHD too?
No...!Also, is is possible to play PS1 and PS2 games burned to CDs and DVDs using OPL?
Because all the improvements made to compatibility are very recent, not many people have tested to see if more problematic games are now working, but we have tested a few (like Dragon Quest 8, Ratchet and Clank games, etc) that are now working perfect or near perfect. But the other user said he wasn't aware of any improvement in the beta versions regarding game's compatibility.
Do you know of a ZSO game compatibility list and how much space can one free by using it?

As for ZSO compat list, there is one available you can even help improve:

Lag has been improved too, both for ISO and ZSO. Some games are now lag free, but others are still far from it.And what about the lag?
Yes, you have just proven, who is the "confused moron"...

...further proving my point!
Yes it does and you still continue with your nonsensical full quotes... and then you even call the wrong person moron, you stupid nutcase. No, it hasn't to do with answering.
What did he do to you? Nothing... You are just beyond moronic and hence can't even click "quote" on the right comment.Yes, you confused, moron.
The others enjoy the show and have Popcorn ready, watching you digging your own grave. You could simple regulate the threads and not necessarily answer to users and are you the only moderator, by the way?
Why do you keep typing text, whilst looking into the mirror? If I'm a lost case it's implied it isn't worth answering me because I'll never learn and it's me who's dense, you idiot?
Copy paste... If you can't comprehend my answer, so be it.Since when you think? If one says to not use releases from other site the logic says to not mention tutorials and compatibility lists regarding them or at least remove them after finding out they shouldn't be used if the motive was only found afterwards. "still thing"No, you can't say you can still thing after the moronic arguments you've been using.
Peppe90 and I already answered that before, you blind moron with the attention span and long term memory of a fruit fly!In OPL's GitHub's repo, only HDD is mentioned, not SSD or SSHD too.
No, but because you claim BS along your way of questioning. Why are they unrelated? You only answer because you want to want to.
These questions have been answered MORE than once already...So, OPL can officially play games from internal HDD/SSD/SSHD, USB, SMB/UDPBD, MX4SIO and FireWire? And from where can one launch OPL? From these devices, CD/DVD and maybe more?
Obviously not every drive works with a standard-driver.I did understand, I just wanted to know out of curiosity all the available IDE/SATA devices that have existed and if all of them were compatible with the PS2 (it looks like HDDs, SSDs and SSHDs work, at least) and if it's about connection and not the storage device then why was a compatbility list made and why did he say that the compatibility variew from one model to another? I assume it's because some models aren't incompatible and because of that it isn't only about connection but about the model too.
You quoted Acid_Snake and called HIM moron, you blind fish!!!That's precisely what I told, moron. And I'm confused because of who?

I am not an idiot, but you have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are.
Copy paste... If you can't comprehend my answer, so be it.
"still thing"
You are "still" a "thing" here? Lol
My arguments are sound and logical, compared to the nonsense you are spilling in every 3rd post.
Peppe90 and I already answered that before, you blind moron with the attention span and long term memory of a fruit fly!
(You like that apparently, so I go along...)
BECAUSE IT DOESN'T HAVE TO!!!
These abbreviations refer to the connections used... USB, internal HDD, LAN, etc.
CONNECTIONS USED...!!! Does that get into your stubborn skull???
No, but because you claim BS along your way of questioning.
These questions have been answered MORE than once already...
Obviously not every drive works with a standard-driver.
You quoted Acid_Snake and called HIM moron, you blind fish!!!
YES, you ARE moronic and have proven so beyond a shadow of a doubt!
Who are those "people" you are talking about? If it talks about USB, internal HDD and SMB, only USB, internal HDD, and SMB should work, not internal SSD, internal SSHD, UDPBD, MX4SIO too, you moron. It doesn't make sense other devices work and are not mentioned there. This only confuses people.
Twist&Turn-Twat...One thing is from where can games be player, other is from where can OPL be run. They're different things.
I wrote more than once! STOP LOOKING AT THE MIRROR when writing a reply, you stinky pos. It is you, whom you are calling moron, you moron. So it isn't only a matter of connection, after all, you moron?
I would only admit you to a hospital or closed institution, given that crazies are usually not aware of their insanity and I guess you broke out from an asylum.Good for you moron, you're alert for small mistakes and typos. Does that mean you admit I'm right to call you a moron but not Acid_Snwke?
Who are those "people" you are talking about?
As of right now, it is and was only you in 13 years... Go figure!

The only moron in this equation is and remains you, regardless how you try to spin it.
