PS3 Why doesn't my password appear in the "xRegistry.sys" file?

Hi, everyone,
Explanation of the problem :
From what I understand, the passwords for all my PSN accounts connected to my PS3 are in the "xRegistry.sys" file, but the problem is that I can't find the password for one of my accounts. Even using the "xRegistry.sys Editor" software (see image for proof).
My questions:
- Is it normal that I can no longer find my password in this file?
- Can't I find the password because one day I tried to connect to this account and I got this thing where you have to scan the QR code, I couldn't scan it (because I didn't have my phone with me) and when I came back to the connection menu the hidden password ("********") had disappeared?
- Did I look in the wrong place?
- And if you have any other suggestions, I'd love to hear from you.
THANK YOU

I noticed that from firmware 4.89 onwards, xRegistry no longer stores any passwords. It was only possible up to firmware 4.88, probably Sony modified it. Anyway, the original account password is no longer used on the PS3, you must generate an access code on the Playstation website, so your original account password will never be written there.

Other information such as Wi-Fi name and password, bluetooth devices paired with PS3 and other information remain saved in xRegistry, except the original PSN account password, or code generated on the website.

That's correct!. After the second factor login implemented on 4.89, the password is useless and no longer needed. Thus, it's not saved on xRegistry.sys.

If You want retrieve this data, You can still try recovery software (IsoBuster, DMDE etc.) on dumped decrypted sub-partition ("/dev/mapper/ps3vflash3"). There is a chance that old file from older fw is still there or at least some leftovers.

PS3 not only making backups of registry file on each edit, but sometimes for unknown reason third one with *.val extension. Probably also it is possible to find this password by string scan because registry is not encrypted or compressed.
