I can get the same level of access to their files, we can make cheat menus, some let you add scripts, some do take meshes and textures. Why not all?
Why do I have to use INSTALLEDDLC when I wanna mod Oblivion? Why won't the pc "slip your mod into the Data folder" method work?
I know devs didn't expect me to mod their games, but it's the same story with pc games so why is it easier for them? I can unpack a .bsa and slap it back into the game and it'll work like I never opened it. Do I just not know enough about "x" game to do these things, but they're actually do able?
I'm not ranting, I really want an answer from someone more knowledgeable. I've been pushing my games lately and I'd like to know what's pushing back.
