PS3 xRegistry editing

Yes, I'm rebuilding the database every time (I replaced all the files in a once, to rebuild all in a once), but for those 3 games it didn't worked.
Probably the issue about Flower and One Piece (both PSN games) is the attribute flag. I solved for Flower, but I fear I need to reinstall One Piece…
What if I delete the One Piece Param.SFO?? It will reset the flag thing?? Maybe it's Worth a try before deleting/reinstalling it.
I'm not sure what you changed for those games but you can easily change the flag back if you want to. Just replace the 04 with 00 again and you're good. Also you don't need to pkg a whole game update, just the PARAM.SFO will do, at least that's true with psn_package_npdrm.

Great, it worked for Flower!! :D

But I'm completely clueless about One Piece :rolleyes: Maybe the problem is that I use the flag the first time, so it remains in memory even after next updates??
Actually before the last attempt I deleted Flower, then re-installed it. But it's about 650mb of download, One Piece is 11GB!! I hope I don't have to re-download it, but if it's the only solution...
Not sure if what im going to say is the problem but anyway...

In the screenshot you posted before there is something that could confuse you:

The original SFO doesnt have ATTRIBUTE
Look at the area with text in uppercase on top, is always ordered alphabetically
1) APP_VER
2) ATTRIBUTE <--- this is missing in that SFO
3) BOOTABLE
4) CATEGORY
5) etc...

You only need the attribute (with the flag to overrite resolution) incase you are "installing" your custom SFO as a game update (in other words, using official functions)
Otherway, incase you are using unnofficial means (like a filemanager or ftp of some exploit) then i guess the ATTRIBUTE doesnt matters (only matters the RESOLUTION)

---------
The second problem in that screenshot is the byte 0x01 you have highlighted is the value of BOOTABLE
So incase you was changing that 0x1 what you was doing is to change the value of BOOTABLE (by unsupported values btw, BOOTABLE only acepts a 0 or an 1 as far i know)

I meant I replaced all the PARAM.SFOs in a once, then rebuilded the database. It worked for 3 games out of 6 (I listed them before).

I solved for one of the 3 games that didn't worked, Flower, reverting the attribute flag.
So now remain only 2 games:

- One Piece Pirate Warriors-PSN (reverting the flag didn't worked :( Once booted, the game send me back to the XMB )
- Ken's Rage-BD (I get the message like: "impossible to boot this game with current video mode")

Also you don't need to pkg a whole game update, just the PARAM.SFO will do, at least that's true with psn_package_npdrm.

Unfortunately I need this for Ken's Rage (the only game that don't have a update, but it's a BD game).

Thank you, this is really useful :encouragement: ...That screenshot was from the Flower's SFO. Indeed I was overwriting the 01 with 00 and when trying to boot the game I was getting the message: "and error occurred when booting the game", so it was 'cause I changed the Bootable value to 0...

Btw I solved for that game, making a update package with only the resolution edited on the PARAM.SFO (no flag). It boot without problems now.

One Piece keep throwing me back to the XMB
Ken's Rage behave as I've not changed anything

I don't know if it could be something related to their HDD folder structure, there are some strange files, Ps3-Link A/B and C...

Hard to know without seeing exactly what you changed. You may need to obtain the original PARAM.SFO for One Piece if that keeps happening, you didn't make a backup?

Yes, I always make new modifications starting from the original backup.

Note: the PARAM.SFO from the update is identical to my original backup (same MD5).

This is the original. I tried copying it adding NTSC resolutions + flag, and adding only the resolutions. I tried either via pkg update and with the file copier + database rebuild (so 4 different attempts).

Probably some other issue then, maybe the game is checking the PARAM.SFO file or something. That is, if you're patching it properly.

This is the only thing I could find so far:

I can try this, but I fear it won't work, 'cause the game can normally start in HD resolutions.

Out of interest: PAL Ps1 games work even if the Ps3 has the region set to Nort America (connecting the Ps3 with the HDMI cable).

Guys anyone in US or GB have the PS Store icon on the VIDEO column?

I did some tests to find out why it doesn't show here and I found that wboard/focusMask should be 0000010F, so I did some tests and it showed, but when the category is focused it disappears. After hours of trying to figure it out, I found that

/setting/user/00000XXX/npguest/ country and /setting/user /00000XXX/npguest/lang

the values were "us" and "en" respectively and my account that has this icon has "br" and "pt" values which is my country, so i changed to match the ones that has it working.

For my surprise it works, even with new created users, i just changed the wboard / focusMask to 0000010F and the country and lang to "br" and "pt", so i thought the video billboard xml for US is empty but it is not and set to work with US.

Then i edited the explorer_plugin.sprx to use a custom.xml with all values for country and lang set to "all" and the same thing happened, only works with "br" and "pt", i also tried to change to "gb" and "us" but it doesn't work too.

@sandungas do you have any idea?

You can edit the category_video.xml to make it appear too. Then if you modify the URL in the explore sprx it will work.

Change:
Code:
<Query
class="type:x-xmb/folder-pixmap"
key="seg_welcome"
attr="seg_welcome"
src="sel://localhost/welcome?type=video"
/>

to
Code:
<Query
class="type:x-xmb/folder-pixmap"
key="seg_welcome"
attr="seg_welcome"
src="#seg_welcome"
/>

Damn @DeViL303 thanks for it, i spend like 3 hours trying to figured out via xRegistry and this simple xml trick did that. :applause::applause::applause:

I made a 50 movie list specially for my cousin (ones not available on Netflix or Amazon Prime) so i set it to change every 3 days via xml, but as mine, his system was also banned so i was trying to figure out how to make it show up.
