Mirror Link leads to download for malware, downloads a file with beginning of "install_ps3tools_4.8.11" with the back half changing, as mirror.to redirects to different places each time.
When you run the installer, it has a wildly different installer than that seen on the ConsoleMod forums version, that seems to just run forever, and never installed any of the tools it claimed it would.
It grabbed my discord token, grabbed what system cookies it could (people in Thailand were able to get into facebook, they haven't gotten into email as far as I can see thus far).
Created new folder appdata\local\terag, installed multiple other things under appdata\local\Conexant and appdata\roaming\RenPy. And that's just what I've managed to find so far...
Please remove the mirror link, or at the very least inspect it. This has been a major pain in my rear, and I may yet end up having to factory reset my computer. All I wanted to do was be able to play old PS3 saves on RPCS3, but instead I'm fighting scammers.

The app itself has a very well known / documented false positive in one of the tools in it collection. If that is what you are talking about its a false positive. The application does not do that, which you are suggesting. The developer of the collection @aldostools is a very well known and respected developer who is also on the team here at psx-place. I can't say what you have at ConsoleMods but they would not have a more genuine edition then we do as the developer is part of the team here.
