A new CFW release comes from Team REBUG as they officially release 4.76 REBUG LITE that comes equipped with Cobra v7.1 features. This release differs from many rebug releases as it will not contain any DEX features and will not have access to some REBUG features, but with Cobra v7.1 you get many great CEX based features so if you are not looking at all those features but want a reliable CFW then this latest REBUG CFW could be that fit. My situation;

- I have PS3 with custom firmware habib 4.75 installed.
- i am using psnpatch to disable cfw sycals AND for PSID changer.

Because there is a new update on sony (4.76) i can't game online.

Question;

1- Can i install this Rebug CFW to my PS3?
2- After installing the CFW which tool can i use for PSID changer?
3- After install the CFW which tool can i use to disable CFW sycals?
4- Can i better wait for another CFW release? such as Habib 4.76?

1) Yes... I was on 4.75 Habib Cobra 7.1 beta v0.4 and now on 4.761 Rebug Lite Cobra 7.1
2) and 3) You can also continue to use PSNpatch
4) I would not know...this should be asked Habib

retail VSH does not support such feature., and DEBUG SETTING can only be enabled via QA TOGGLE button combo.

Black screen issue

Hey guys,

I just installed the latest rebug and i have a bit of an issue with the toolbox. It installs just fine (tried both versions of the toolboxes) but when i try to access the toolbox,the console encounters a black screen and hangs. The only way to exit is to unplug it. After reboot i can't access multiman and neither irisman,blackscreen in both cases.It will do this until i format the hdd again. I have a CECH2504A console.

Any thoughts on how to install it without any trouble and actually make it work? I wanna use the Cobra feature on it,i`m also a big fan of ps2 games.

I had this happen once and i reinstalled cfw and it was fine, but mayby there is a known reason and a better method of getting it working IDK,

 

[MENTION=29]Joonie[/MENTION] forgot to say but my previous issue was definitely an issue with webman. I didn't enable it in toolbox but instead used the one in psnpatch and no issues whatsoever.

I have encountered this problem 4 times in the past 3 years on 2 different consoles, installing different CFW(Rebug & CEX) & different way to update (via recovery or via xmb).
Could never find the reason ... It seems random but I would not bet it is...

Is everything else working ok?
Can you mount & play games?
Which Toolbox version are you using, the latest one?

In any case, you should try reinstalling your CFW first, it's quick & generally solves this kind of problem.
If you still have the same issue, report back..

by the way, is it fine if i go to psstore (they ask me to update psstore version) and download metal gear online from there?

i have already pressed "x" button on psnpatch (psid n idps n cfw disabled when playing online)

If your CFW in already disabled then you can go online like on OFW. This mean you can update store, and download MGS: Online. But remember to not go into psnpatch, multiman or any homebrew when CFW is disabled.

And remember there is always small risk of ban.

Check ur debug setting make sure enviroment set to np and not sp-int
