No. You can only spoof ids on CFW as you need a brew to apply it.

You should be able to do a permanent idps swap in the Flash memory EID regions. That should remain ok on ofw.
Idpset utility might help you achieve that.

Make sure it's cfw compatible first though.
Some 25xx models are not.
Minimum Installable Fw version needs to be checked with MinVerChk PUP to be sure...
Another console is good, but buying a dead/dying console for 10 bucks would have done the trick for you you know... And it could have provided some spare parts too..
 
well based on the image of the console and the storage size (160Gb) and the facts that its a 2501A (the one I currently have is a 2501B) I would safely assume that is can be. however that is not its purpose. Ill be using it strictly for non JB. Ill continue to use my cuirrent one for Jailbreaking lol

Well I wish it were that simple..
You are assuming that having the same model number as you had is enough but it is not really.
Even if the model number & hdd size was sufficient data (and it is not) there is no way to tell if the console was refurbished or repaired at some point. Ultimately, only MinVerChk can tell you if a 25xxA is cfw compatible.

Am only giving you the facts. The rest is up to you of course...

If at some point sony releases a newer firmware that blocks the webkit exploit you are not going to be able to do it anymore
So is a good idea to get the IDPS now you are in 4.82
You can make instead a whole flash dump (that contains the IDPS and more)

It is also recommended to turn off the Automatic Update in Settings (for all CFW and any OFW that want to install the ps3xploit in the future).
