Well the xmb of the ps3 has never changed since its first firmware update.I think we can never see an xmb change for PS3.But we can add some minor features to xmb to give it a fresh look.According to @esc0rtd3w 4.84 did not patched anything.It is just like 4.83 but with some updated emulators.

i updated yesterday from 4.82 dex rebug to 4.84.2 rebug D-rex and my ps2 emulation is much better would this have anything to do with why? i updated to try to get online and got better ps2 emulation

MultiMAN at the time had not been updated since 4.82 as it did not need updating to work on this FW version for CFW users.

The 4.84 version was just 4.82 patched/resigned with a few things for HEN> loading ISO from external HDD in NTFS format.

ohhh.. i put 4.85 cfw multiman on my HEN.

4.85 has those same things added from 4.84 so its fine to use on HEN. I have the 4.85 version on both HEN and CFW PS3's and they run fine.

Can you please add a download link for 4.84 OFW? I have been searching all over the internet but I cannot seem to find a trusted source
