HERE : "iris" folder for IRISMAN (and any iris-based manager) containing explore_plugin.sprx and libfs_patched.sprx.
Copy the folder to a fat32 usb root, go to manager, tools, install from usb_dev... confirm. This helps with discless compatibility and black screens. Use it on 4.85 CFW and HEN. LINK: http://www.mediafire.com/folder/mtsz6zmdpk81n/iris

 

can't someone explain or point me in the direction for info about downgrading to ofw after installing custom, I need to get to 3.56. i need to use an exploit that was in ofw 3.56 to transfer hard drives.

Hi, is it possible to install cobra 8.2 on 4.84.2 REX at least for CEX mode? The only feature that I use from dex's debug options is X and O swapping, if I update to this cfw is there a way to swap them or if I update the current behavior is maintained? Thanks

 

nope the button will stay swapped even if you return to CEX or you change CFW buttons will be the same as you change them

 

Mr. @Joonie, it is possible to create a CFW Rebug 4.84.3 REX EDITION WITH COBRA 8.20,
as I do not want to upgrade to REBUG 4.85 LITE, but I am interested in the new features regarding PSN activation.

I ask this because I saw on github of @Evilnat, this:

Man i told last time to wait if he think to release 4.84 cobra 8.2 you can brick (even perma-brick that cannot be recovered) your ps3

 

So even if the @Evilnat files were integrated correctly, the firmware released officially by @Joonie could lead to permabrick?
So I ask you the modifications of Cobra 8.20 also include other parts of the firmware?

 

Nope thats not the case Evilnat files are correct but better wait for joonie to update cobra payload in rebug rather then you do it cause if your console dead ,you don't have dump before and hardware flash then there is possibility to say good bye to your ps3

No in lv2Xkernel.self ,ps2 emulator files,stage2 thats it

So if there is a Permabrick, can't I flash the NOR even with an E3 Flasher or a Tensy?
Also doing the Nor Flash with Mod external power supply of the E3 Flasher?

 

Perma brick cannot be fixed as it perma 'permanent' even with E3,Teensy,Progskeet

 

Only stage2 cex and dex are necessary to update as ps2 emultators weren't touched in cobra 8.2...
EDIT: I used Evilnat's stage2.cex and dex and they works. 8.2 cobra on 4.84.2 rex. Simply replace old ones in /dev_blind/rebug/cobra/

Your PS3 is on D-REX (DEX Converted) you can't install normal CFW (CEX) and seems that your Debug Settings option System Debug Update set to ON you need to convert back to CEX using Rebug Toolbox to be able to install 4.85 CFW

 

I dont have the full options because i downgraded it on 3.55 in safe mod
