4.93 EVILNAT (Cobra 8.5)

PS3 4.93 Evilnat w/ Cobra v8.5 - (CEX/PEX/D-PEX) 4.93

I've had two issues (one definitely a problem, the other may or may not be) running 4.91.2 BETA 10 PEX on my CECH-2002A. I moved pkg files to my internal HDD and was trying to install them using the package manager from the XMB. My issues are:

1) After installation, if I navigate to "package manager > delete package files > ps3 system storage" I can see a list of pkg files on the HDD, they each have the option to delete. If I delete one, it will remain in the list and it will still have the option to be deleted. It only disappears from the list if I navigate up one level to "delete package files" and then go back down into "ps3 system storage". Not sure if this is a bug or just a software limitation.
Note: I have never put a file on the HDD and then attempted to delete it, I have only ever deleted pkg files after installing them.

2) I installed a pkg file for a game, after installation I deleted it. I then tried to install a DLC pkg for the game. The console froze and I had to power cycle. I installed further DLC without deleting the files immediately after installation and this caused no issues. When I had two DLC left to install I tried to test the issue again: I installed a DLC then deleted the pkg, when I attempted to install the final pkg my system froze again. It seems that installing a pkg, then deleting it, then attempting to install another pkg can freeze the system.

Additional info:
My console is second hand, but to my knowledge only ran official Sony firmware before I owned it. I initially had the console on 4.91.2 BETA 9 CEX before updating it to BETA 10 PEX. I have not modified the hardware of the console in any way. I have only installed CFW, games, and ManaGunZ 1.42 (latest nightly) on my system.

Apologies if these are already known.
I haven't used evilnat 4.91, but I think the first thing is normal as I seem to remember it from rebug. The other thing I'm not sure. Could be an hdd issue.

Is the is the oc version for beta 10 back up
Your comment isn't clear. It's confusing. There's only 4.91.2 BETA 10 available in PEX and D-PEX
Here's the link to the location of the files on MEGA but always check the first page on the forum topic.
There is NO OC version currently of this version as it's in BETA development. Try searching for older.

You can build your own OC with mfw. It's very easy to do. Just click on the bat, follow instructions to add in 4.91 keys. Select the ps3keys folder for your keys. Then, select evilnat 4.91 as your input pup, name output whatever (remember to open mfw as administrator or it will error), select 4.xx tarbell cex, uncheck both rebuilder options, select RSX oc and choose what you want (don't be too aggressive), then build.

@Evilnat I think you forgot the remote play patch

EDIT:

Very few works here not even netflix, prime video and some others including homebrews, i didn't check, but the only ones working is with the PARAM.SFO flag

Hmm, seems like it is patched, i patched OFW premo spxs and still can't open youtube and some homebrews, maybe the patch doesn't fully bypass the apps....

@Joonie is it normal?

They are already patched, no TV apps can run nor some homebrews

How do those normally run? I remember remote play being very shitty to the point of being unplayable.

Remote play is sh1tty by itself, those patches are intended to allow any app to run via Remote Play. However, it seems that many apps are still not running. Some apps only run after editing the PARAM.SFO, even with the patches applied. It appears that more patches are needed.

I see. I didn't realize it didn't work for certain apps. I've been spoiled by the PS5 and the portal, which almost never has issues for me.

Maybe They are not intended to run for TV apps,, maybe SFO needs edited to have them moved to Game Category.. perhaps more patching in game exit or premo could allow that.. can you check which module being used when launching TV apps? game_Ext mainly used for games I know for sure, but not sure about TV apps.

I'm at work now, but tonight I'll let you know. There are also some homebrew games (Duck hunting, snake) and official apps, such as the GOW soundtrack app, that can't run here (I have only a very few apps/games installed to test). According to DevWiki, some PSN games don't work with the patches and require a PARAM.SFO edit

Use a VPN, proton got a free tier and you can use it as a browser extension, you only need to make an account, have been using that after the dictator blocked X.

I have a github account, but I've never had a facebook or twitter account myself, for personal reasons. I'm starting to sell my portable systems on facebook marketplace, but I'm using my mom's account actually.
