A few questions

I have a few questions, though they are slightly unrelated, I hope it's alright if I ask them all together instead of making multiple threads. I'm a standard, average user, and I'm on the latest REBUG, 4.84.1 lite.

My first question is, is there any way to watch PAL DVDs on an NTSC system? When I try to do this, it says video in PAL broadcast not supported. My TV doesn't natively support 50hz PAL signal either, when I was on REBUG 4.82.2 REX, in the DEX debug menu, all to play my PAL DVDs I would have to change my system's region, then have to use a PAL to NTSC converter box to watch the videos. This was a hassle, and I knew that updating to 4.84.1 lite would remove this option. I think it was my only use of having DEX, so CEX is mostly all I need. What I am wondering is if there are any ways, that the PS3 could play PAL 50hz content and convert it to NTSC 60hz in real-time, allowing for easy playback. I have had cheap DVD players that could do this. If this not possible for the PS3, then I very well will stick back to having a dedicated region free DVD player. I have tried using Showtime/Movian as well, but it says the contents of the DVDs are unreadable.

A second question, is there any way to backup DVDs and Blu-rays to ISO format without using mmCM? I don't like having various applications that I don't have much use for, or that all have mostly the same uses, having both webMAN MOD and IRISMAN, this is the only feature I think I need from mmCM. Here, I'm wondering if there is any other way I'm missing. I also don't like how if I go to use wMM after I've used mmCM I have to restart my system to prevent it from freezing up.

My third and final question, is, what are all the default settings of the options in the debug menu in REBUG REX? I am meaning, if somebody had a new standard retail CEX PS3, and had just installed REBUG 4.82.2 REX, what would the debug options be as default, as new? I realize there are a lot of them, and I have seen the list of all of their usages, but not what the "default" settings are for them all. I don't believe I'm having any issues here, I am more wondering this for as a reference. It would be nice if the default settings were listed on the REBUG website as well as their functions. I forgot that I had my np-environment set to invalid after updating to REBUG 4.84.1 lite, and I had to go back to REX to change this then go back to lite, I didn't realize exactly that the settings would carry over like that. I, a bit, just want to make sure everything is set "like new," and nothing else in there had been changed from default.

Thank you everybody, and thank you for your work in making the PS3 an even greater system and this wonderful forum and community.

There is a way of injecting your ISOs without mmcm.

I think region changing is the only way afaik.

That never happens for me...

I can give you the default settings, I just don't have my PS3 available atm.

Thanks, although I haven't contributed with anything (yet). But yes it is a wonderful community :)

Ummm, he's talking about PAL DVD's??? That's for OFW and it's for games...

Thank you for the replies. I don't believe that is what I mean, n00b. Yes, I did mean if there was any way to make ISO backups from my physical discs, both DVDs and Blu-ray movies and games, without using wwMC. But if there is not, that is a good enough feature to keep it. What I am referring to by wMM freezing up if I use it after I use mmCM, I have recently seen aldostools comment to somebody else saying it is a known issue. Here: [Update] 4.84.1 STARBUGED CFW + (Includes NEW COBRA 8.00 / .01 payload) by habib

I was thinking if there would be a way to play PAL dvds, they could already have the code within IRISMAN. IRISMAN is the only manager that I found that lets me play my PAL psx ISOs, neither wMM or mmCM was able to. So, I believe if I'm not mistaken they can already output the pal 50hz content to ntsc 60hz in real-time. Thanks.

You are always welcome brother!

This is a known issue with these to homebrews, happens to me as well. @aldostools was just on about this on another thread the other day, possibly some patches each homebrew use's clashing.

I've been playing a PS1 Classic title I had purchased on my PSN account, Spyro Year of the Dragon, and it seems a bit laggy. I read that the 4.84 update had updated emulators, was the PSX emulator updated, maybe this could be the issue? I didn't play this game back when I was on 4.82 to know, I haven't played it for years actually, but I never remember it being laggy like how it is now. It's not unplayable, but noticable. I haven't noticed lag on anything else yet, maybe this is just how the game is, maybe there is no issue and my memory is faulty. Anyway, thanks.
