NOTICE A quick rundown of the homebrew scene in 2021 (PS1 / PS2 / PS3 / PS4 / PSP / PS Vita / PSTV)

Regarding Magic Castle, it was released in Dec 23th 2020, not Jan 2nd 2021.
But, true fact, it had some updates on 2021, including one in Feb 1st 2021.

PS: In Spanish countries (where some devs of the game are from) we use 01/02/2021 to refer to Feb 1st (not Jan 2nd), so, DD/MM/YYYY (DD/MM) instead of MM/DD/YYYY (MM.DD)
Keep that in mind!

@STLcardsWS for honorable mention there as N64 emulator released in 2020 for Vita.

I guess you did not see it when you posted this, but its been there..
I do that often myself :) ...

The main objective is to give the spotlight on the project, not so much the dates. Its a reflect of 2021 but there is some stuff i added that was DEC. 2020 technically its still within a year :)

I will change:
Older Playstation 2 units do NOT use a Dragon based mechacon and therefore are not supported, no support is planned for those in the future.

PS: There are multiple inconsistencies in the text, just to point a few, look at the negative highlights:

Also, avoid mentioning Rockstar Games' ports to any console.

Yeah it was a post I was typing and had to set my phone down. I came back bit send and a few bits later to check on some more news I noticed you added it.

Its still a very rough list , I am more concerned about the projects themselves at this very point.
All the fine details come later, its a rough list being built . The biggest task at this point is simply finding the biggest releases / milestones.
Once we get that in order then all those finer details can be dealt with. Its a starting point..

Also, avoid mentioning Rockstar Games' ports to any console.

Some have been removed and some have not been removed. Its been dependent on developer and also the project.
For example MaxPayne's wrapper is on github still . That is a rockstar game.
.
Note: On the list some are strikeout with no links..

It's not just in Spanish speaking countries, it is in most of the world's countries afaik, the US being more of an exception rather than the rule.
1 notation, 2 possible meanings, that's very confusing & stupid if you ask me...

Indeed... same goes for measuring, etc...

Keeping alive much of the outdated UK imperial units system in a modern world is a very strange choice right enough, it might have made sense in the 19th century but in the 21st...

There are worst cases. :D In Poland we use also DD/MM/YY and... for months roman numerals. :) So i.e today which should be 2021-12-21 (YY/MM/DD FTW :P) can be 21-XII-2021. Imagine my mum's folder with pictures, each folder with that kind of date. A damn unsorted mess.

But at least you cannot get the days & months wrong.
And even from a notation point of view it is not so confusing as long as you use scripts where the 1s obviously differ from the Is.

In any case, all this stuff should really be standardised, same thing goes for the calendars, it makes little sense to keep various ways to record time only because they are inherited from the past & nobody wants to change just on principles.

Like i said in the previous post. its not about presentation at the moment, the primary objective is compiling a list.
What text look like or how a layout of a page is zero concern because none of that matters unless you build the objective itself.

OK! Then, it is OK IMO...
But... I will also advise to list all the homebrews from the KYŪHEN Contest in some way...

April 21: Mechapwn - This tool can be used to change the region and configuration flags from Dragon based mechacon consoles. This means Playstation 2 consoles from the SCPH-5000X systems all the way to the SCPH-90000X are supported (with the exception of the DESR (PSX) consoles which are not supported at this time, a future update is planned to address this). Older Playstation 2 units do NOT use a Dragon based mechacon and therefore are not supported, no support is planned for those in the future.
Release date is April 01, not April 21
