Be able to alphabetize XMB game category

Hi, I tried to modify manually my XML game category but this doesn't worked....
I use HAN, somebody can help giving me a valid link with a modified file please ?
The only thing I want is to have all my content in GAME category in alphabetical order,
it's so complicated......
 
what happens when you alphabetize? no games appear or a soft brick? if you don't modify the correct section, it will result in no games appearing iirc. I'm afraid I can't test a han version of that file or else I would've modified and uploaded it.
 
What about that test.zip xml that was done a bit ago.i used that and it alphabetizes games perfectly it also is one of the few things that still stuck on a 4.83 update
 
Hi, Pinky, I followed your explanations about how to modify game_category.xml
and inject it to get alphabetisation, with the HAN Tool XML injector but this do no effect at all.

And Frosthaxx, thanks for your answer but I don't find the link of your test.zip xml, can you give me a link please ?

I however have used it and it works flawless.you just need to add every rco xml and such in this test zip in its proper place.make sure your selecting the right plugins to change

So does this actually arranges the games by alphabetical order inside every folder? does it work? can it be injected using the xml injector?
 
It can be injected using the right injector yes.as far as alphabetizing inside a folder im not sure but I believe it did when I tested it. I know it will alphabetize however and it also keeps alphabetizing even after installing a new game. It adds an option where the normal sorting filters go for alphabetizing

the indexer, which I think is where the system gets the info to sort things from, contains album names as well. it also contains date created which can replaced by title, since that's in there as well. there's another way to alphabetize via explore_view in the profile folder, but I think that it's rebuilt if you change the sorting mechanic, so the registory is the better way.

What the best way to replace these files?
is it through the xpolit page or to do them through multiman after enabling the write options and does this work still on 4.84 HFW with HEN?

I don't think it matters. none of those files are encrypted.
 
Also the registroy.xml must be replaced for full alphabetical of the rest of the XMB. I have those files I can post for everyone later today. It does this for game data and saves as well as your games.
 
Sorry @pinky one last question... is it really just as simple as swapping the files out? i have about 200+ ps2 games installed as PKG files that i need to sort in order.
 
Download the ps3 pro mod and decompile it

i have it categorized in all XMB Itens and The Strings Texts to ALPHABETIC ORDER translated to all languages
 
When I repalce files and rebuild data base.hen enabler icon gone and instead I get rotating arrows saying ultimate toolbox disabled.i'm running HFW 4.89
