PS3 [BETA] Install All Packages (batch installation)

this is completely unusable, i have many packages splitted with their updates and licences, wich must be installed in their specific order, wich is why i have them chronologically named,

but when i choose install all packages, it does not install them in alphabetical order, it does part 2 then part 1 for example, this is infuriating, what the heck!!!!

Install All uses the modified time stamp to sort the packages (If I recall correctly it uses most recent first which is a shame).
EDIT: DeViL303 confirmed in a previous post that it's installed in older to newer order.

The feature is still useful to install several packages of distinct games and homebrews in a single step.

For these games that require certain installation order, you can extract the packages in the correct order, then repack them an make multiple packages of 4GB or less (PS3 Tools Collection can help doing this).

In this case it doesn't matter the installation order, because the installed files will not be overwritten.

oh well... the previous comment claimed something different, who is right? i cant unpack and repack 100gb worth of data i'd rather install everything one by one its lots of works but still not as much as unpacking and repacking everything (i had to format my 1tb ps3 )

but seriously if its sorted by creation date as you say (instead of the date it was copied on the usb stick as previous comment claims, wich would be better) can i change this via dev_blind files? so that it install alphabetically?

I said "if I recall correctly"... DeViL303 confirmed that they are installed in creation order (older to newer).
Believe him... I have used that function some years ago.

There is no need to modify 100GB of files, the only thing you need to do is to change his timestamps (this is an attribute stored in the filesystem, not in the files), and there are some tools to do it, i use this one, i like it because is integrated in the "right mouse button" contextual menu
https://www.petges.lu/

And in the microsoft file browser, select to display files "with details"... and select how much "details" you want to display to be sure you are displaying all the 3 timestamps (created, modifyed, accessed)... then you can "click" in the columns of the file browser to order the list by each timestamp (to mimick the order used by the PS3)

thank you guys DeViL303 i owe you one IT WORKED
( the "install all packages" option installs packages according to the date it was copied on the root of the usb stick, wich is even better than alphabetical since ps3's alphabetical order is not the same as window's!!!!)

since you are a dev where can i do a donation? i'm from europe if that counts
