How is that possible unless you used (unsuccessfully) the PS3 Toolset v1.0 during the very first week of its release 15 months ago to jailbreak the console & never reported not being able to complete the hack at the time, never tried to fix the problem since?
FYI there is no longer a fix available online, I removed it back in December 2020 after it had been online for many months with nobody needing it anymore.

@esc0rtd3w (or I if need be) will check your dumps & if indeed it is confirmed that your Flash memory needs fixed, I will try to make a fix available when I can, you will have to be patient though because I am busy with other things atm & it might take a while before I can even look into this.

Thank you for reply. The thing is, I bought it a few days ago. Maybe this was the reason for such a low price ($ 100). The seller did not warn me about this. I will wait as long as it takes. Thank you.

The seller should have told you, as it is, he sold you a partially bricked console!
But how come do you have before & after dumps?
This will remain on the conscience of the seller. I first tried installing firmware 4.87 OFW. Nothing worked. Then I decided to try to install the downgrade patch. I just made a backup before applying the patch and after reading about this problem on the forum I made a second one.

Unfortunately the "original" dump you provided won't do, it has to be a dump of the Flash memory before ever using the Flash Memory Manager to patch it.
Without that "original" dump, we cannot compare the 2 dumps to find out the cause of the bug.

It is sad. I'll try to ask if the seller still has a dump. If he did it.

If he made one & if he kept it!

A word of warning..
Without the original dump to confirm the cause of the bug, we could still apply the fix to that bug in the original Toolset release, but we would be working half blind & if that turned out not to be the right fix, there would always be a risk bricking the console in such a way it cannot restart to XMB or recovery.. In which case, a hardware flasher will be necessary to recover...

I will therefore have to leave the decision to go ahead with applying any fix up to you..

The seller said that he bought it in this condition. I asked him to contact the previous owner, but I doubt it will help us. Let's try to fix it blindly at our own risk. If something goes wrong, then I know a dude with a programmer.

OK then.
I cannot guarantee that I will have time but I'll try to get something sorted out this weekend so you can attempt a fix.
I will keep you posted either way.

Hello, I have a problem with the ps3 super slim nand version and I can not upload cfw. Yesterday still did patch hen to xmb and my console
keeps rebooting after booting.

I try reinstall but system the system displays information that the file with the software update from the recovery level was not found, as it wants to reinstall hfw 4.88

If your console is a superslim, the PS3 Toolset won't let you patch it as CFW is not supported on those models & your issue is not PS3 Toolset related.
Please create your own thread to seek guidance.

you lost jailbreak. install ofw 4.88 and then use the toolset to jailbreak again. install evilnat 4.88 cfw when done.

also, make sure that there is no disc on the drive when updating (ps3 may be trying to install old ofw if a disc is in drive).

thats the thing my flash drive says its corrupted no matter what i use does it matter which side the flash drive is in my ps3 has a loose right usb port
