PS3 CECH PS2 Performance?

Hello! I have a question...

Does any body know if the CECHC & E models of the backward compatible PS3 induce any more input lag over the CECHA & B whilst playing PS2 games?

As I understand the C & E use partial emulation and wondered if this would cause any extra delay?

Yes, this is generally possible. And almost 100% happening, but i can't tell real difference. Keep in mind that even using wireless gamepad generate a lot of lag, so adding emulated timers, pcrtc, and other parts of EE for sure make some extra delay. A lot probably depend on game itself.

Thanks for your comments on this. Do you have the C/E model yourself?

I managed to snag a near perfect C model for just £10 from fb marketplace but if the other models would yield any tangible improvements I wouldn't mind investing.

I feel like if spent far too much time on finding out the best setup for playing ps2 but not got any decisive solutions. There's just so many variables like ps2 hdmi adapters, bc ps3, pc emulation. Don't even get me started on the TV itself. I bought an old crt tv that's far to big for the room I've put it on

Not now, i had one earlier. But in terms of input lag i'm really bad person to judge that, since few years i used only pcsx2/semi BC ps3/non BC ps3. So hard to really tell how it compare to real ps2 that i used ages ago.

I have a cechC04. I can not see any input lag on any ps2 game that i play. I play with standart sixaxis and dualshock3 controller and then i háve a big en third party controller. All is good.

One of well known issues is for example getting Celestial Weapon for Lulu in FFX. Doing that on PS3 is pita.

On remasters is even impossible and they never fix it. ;)
200 of thunders QTE. What a sadistic brain thinking it would be fun...
