If you are on CFW 4.89 go to Network Tab and select [★ Custom Firmware Tools] > [Basic Tools] > [QA Tools] > [Enable QA Flags]. Then try to install the CFW you want

And don't forget to install the latest version of Rebug Toolbox (v02.03.07): https://store.brewology.com/ahomebrew.php?brewid=308

I have made a BETA of 4.89.3 without DEX's Kernel/modules because it is unstable right now with debug settings (crashes LV2).

If anyone wants to try it I will send it, I have tested OtherOS and CEX/DEX on my PS3 FAT with NOR, but it's not tested on NAND. If anyone wants to try it please send me a PM, but remember, if you are going to use CEX/DEX or OtherOS options on NAND, is highly recommended a HW Flasher to avoid problems. If you still want to use it, I'll send it anyway (it must work fine anyway).

Thank you for all the great things that you have done over a decade for PS3 scene.
It would be interesting if you could provide more details about how you have been implementing DEX Kernel on 4.89.
Maybe other developers could give you ideas that would help to bypass the crashes.

I suppose that you're using 4.89 CEX with patched 4.84 DEX modules.
A different approach could be make 4.84 DEX spoof 4.89 with patched CEX modules. I don't know. I'm only brainstorming.

Could I ask how you were able to do DEX? I thought there was no DEX kernel / OFW released (or at least leaked) beyond 4.84

I fixed it, it doesn't crash anymore

I want to use entire 4.89 PUP and replace the necessary files from 4.84 DEX to allow loading LV2 DEX Kernel from CoreOS, use ProDG/Target Manager, use all real debug settings, fix XMB layouts, etc..., like Rebug

Right now my obstacle is XMB layouts and use ProDG, I can connect to it but I am unable to see any process (I have patched kernel to allow debbugging vsh.self). I am sure that I need to replace some files

EDIT: Comparing all 4.84 DEX files...
