The SH Covenant Config works for Disc 2 correct? I was unable to test it as my personal save is in the beginning of Disc 1 and all the saves on gamefaqs are ng+.

EDIT: Also very minor thing, but when holding the analog stick halfway (when you're walking), Yuri sometimes jitters a little. It's nothing major (especially since you'll likely never hold the stick in the position I had to to see it), but I feel it should be worth mentioning. Other than that, no softlocks on either game. Thanks.

Also are you sure that you didn't test the PAL version of monster rancher 3?

Yup, that's the only side effect unfortunately. And this will probably not work with disc 2, but since I don't have a save file either I can't fix it. If you get to disc 2, feel free to share a save file and I can port it over.

Typically games that lock on loading screens or something similar are hard to diagnose the problem, so not sure. And I tested NTSC-U version Monster Rancher 3 and it played fine after monster creation. Where exactly does it soft lock for you?

Sure, but it'll take a while as not only am I really early in Disc 1, but I'd also like to enjoy the game as this is my first playthrough.

EDIT: Noticed something. May be the result of the config but some NPCs in a cutscene sort of jittered down while getting into place. Hard to explain, so I'll send the save file. Basically head into the mayor's house and you'll see it. Also experienced a softlock in the title screen (lol).

@mrjaredbeta The game soft lock exactly on the first monster creation on the very beginning of the game, just out of curiosity did you keep playing it futher to see if the game works?

BTW nevermind,I think I just choose the wrong option when creating monster,I will test again to see if it works.

It seems like CRC for ELF (SLUS_xxx.xx), and for FIELD.BIN is the same on DISC1, and DISC2. So it should work for DISC2 as is. ;)

I'm currently playing Shadow Hearts Covenant and the game so far works fine (have only had 1 softlock before the title screen, but that seems to be random). One thing I noticed is that the config seems to affect how NPCs move (like one mandatory cutscene has an NPC walk in place for like 10 seconds). I'll give a save before that cutscene (just walk south and you'll see it; note it hasn't actually softlocked and the game will continue).

The title screen soft lock is just some random occurrence and doesn't have anything to do with the config. I got one on FtNW (and some other random games) once out of like 100 times loading the game. The NPC thing probably does have something to do with config. Did you try that part without the config to see if the NPCs did the same thing?

No, I'm sorry. But there is a save attached in one of the posts I made that was just before the instance.

I'll take a look when I'm back from work, but it sounds like just a side effect from the config. Hopefully it's not too annoying cause there'll probably be no fix for it.

Hi Kozarovv,
are you able to check if something can be done to fix this game ?
PS2 TRUE CRIME NYC SLES_536.18 / SLUS-21106
(I Can play SLUS but if you can manage fix the SLES i will be super super super happy!)
on devwiki latest information in Feb 2018 :
Need config file, otherwise game freeze when appears something in 3D. Other issue(Feb 3/18) Controls for moving character is glitched and makes the game hard to play, and when aiming the gun characters weapon will move rapidly right and left. Both happen on USA AND EUROPEAN versions, no fix at this time.
EDIT : when i say i can play SLUS i was meaning if no other choice.. but actually both version have issues/not playable at this time

Porting current config is easy, and it for sure it can be done. But problem is second issue we have with that game.
I know where issue come from, but i'm not sure i can fix it. Can you make (or find one online) video that show issue while playing that game on PS3.
I looked into that, and camera functions are handled on VU0. This mean that camera issue can be floats inaccuracy, that i can fix with small help of testers. But this also can be VU flag mess, similar to what happen in Tales of Legendia (yes issue looks different, but on hardware level is the same). Then there is almost nothing i can do.. I want video to reproduce that on pcsx2, to know what exactly is broken.

PS. I moved to that thread ;)

I dont have a camera , but i think i can manage to borrow an ipad from my sister in law to film a short gameplay
I will try my best to get something decent , but it could take somes time.
I will check what i can do for the cause

I would like to thank you guys for all the effort, its amazing that so many games have been fixed. Do you guys think Berserk: Millennium Falcon Hen Seima Senki no Sho will ever be fixed?

Okay, I'm approaching the end of Disc 1 for SH: Covenant and these are my observations-
The CONFIG works for fixing Yuri's analog movement (outside of 2 freezes- one in the title screen and another before a boss, which seems to have just been a random occurance). However, the config likely has a minor side effect where rarely characters who are scripted to walk walk too much (most notable examples are the pedometer lady walking in place for like 5 seconds and, in one cutscene with Yuri and Karin in the Graveyard, Yuri just sort of walks down endlessly. It's during a dialogue box and fixes itself after the cutscene ends so it's more funny than annoying.)
I don't know whether it's the game or the emulator, but during the prerendered FMV's, characters closeup tend to mildly shake. I doubt it's the config since it shouldn't affect FMV's. Likewise, I could just be imagining it as I am pretty tired lol.
Also minor thing is that on the summary screen, the levels aren't properly colored so it's a little hard to see them.

Other than those minor issues, game so far runs perfectly. Thank you for fixing the big issue with it. Sorry if I sound nitpicky or ungrateful.

This game have such a small minor issue that is totally insignificant, can you just play the game?
