Fixes transition hallway freeze (I THINK). I had some weird results while testing, but I got a little mixed up with the configs and had to backtrack a bit.

Please test @Major_Pothead92! If I remember correctly, you were the one who asked about this game. I only really tested the second hallway in the dragon dojo part as it seemed like a really consistent freeze. I also attached it to this post for your convenience.

@Rafaelrios It's possible. Never looked into that game's problems, but I will add it on my list of games to check!

midway arcade treasures ntcs-usa works without problem

Hokuto no Ken
seem to work setting vsynch delay ipu to agressive,but need someone else to test it.
 
street fighter Alpha Anthology is not playable

it's a great collection of street fighter, but the screen is static and you only hear the sound of the game and sometimes crashes too.

Yeah that was me lol. I gave the config you attached a try for SLUS-20315 — Black screen / freeze when entering Cloud 9. Ran around the home world for a few minutes and then tried entering Cloud 9 because last time I tried playing that level was turning up the most problems.

Quick Edit — I just restarted the game. Am running around Cloud 9 now (game started there because of the blackscreen when entering.) no freeze yet.

Another Edit — Ran around Cloud 9 for a while, no freezes. Went back to the homeworld to collect ice breath and back to Cloud 9 — no blackscreen when entering the level this time. Not sure what that was about? Seems playable for the most part! Will try finishing up my playthrough and report back if I run into anything else.

Okay, cool. I'm not too familiar with the game, but entering Cloud 9 takes you to a loading screen? Or is it a loading hallway thing? Maybe the game has multiple reasons for freezing and only one of them is fixed now?

If you want, could you attach your save file to this thread? I can try working with that specific spot if there are still freezes there.
 
on NFS Underground 2 (SLES v2.00), if i try test the perfomance of my customized cars on the test track, the ps3 completely shuts down (no red light), i tried 2x with different cars, same result

@mrjaredbeta what is the problem with those games that randomly freeze?i don't think psx2 ever had something similiar.

It could really be anything. A lot of the time it's because of something related to timing, when the EE and coprocessors aren't synced properly and a function that relies on it is broken because of it. This is because the different processors are off by hundreds or thousands of cycles. Kozarovv probably has a much better explanation than mine.

This is just one possibility though. Sometimes it's due to inaccurate floating point calculation by some function and netemu won't know what to do with it. Other times it's due to something completely different.

What I'm trying to say is there's no clear cut reason why all these games have a seemingly similar problem. It may look the same but be completely different.

+ Floating points inaccuracies due to very specific algo used in ps2
+ Overall recompilation bugs
+ Game developers doing stupid shit that worked by luck EVEN on PS2.
+ Fact that pcsx2 "ignore" some errors to allow emulation to continue. While netemu trigger panic, and shit itself.

And PCSX2 now is getting closer to being more accurate than any other emu before, but believe me. So many things worked by luck that is hard to believe sometime. :D Is "funny" because fixing some inaccuracy in pcsx2 usually reveal ton of another ones, and break potentially unrelated stuff.
 
In the compatibility list it says that the PAL version of Street fighter Alpha Anthology is playable without any problems, the game is working fine until the selection screen is wrong, after that it crashes.
