just slow about 15 fps under fix config (that config fix loading freeze )
If u look at the ground,speed is normal, but look at anyother place may slow down.

I compared PC pcsx2 game footage, seems doesnt has bloom effect but ps2 has.
So i think if can rip the bloom effcet may improve fps?

interesting.... GTA Liberty City Stories happens the same thing.. while driving with the camera aiming at the ground the game gets solid 30 fps but when i look straight the game breaks down to 15-20 fps

Never played it before,but i remember GTA III can turn off bloom in the menu,u can try.
And checked the compatibility list, it's offical PS2 classic, and US version get better fps.

Some effects just could not be emulated properly in the hardware mode of the PCSX2. Try the software mode, albeit with lower performance.
 
Hello, apologize if I'm breaking some sort of rule for making a new account I changed email addresses and lost my password so I couldn't log back in. If a mod could help me merge accounts or something that'd be great.

In the approximately 6 months since I last posted you guys have been killing it. Even Tales of Legendia now working which is crazy. You guys are awesome.

But I tried SSX with the config on aldos site and still froze now long after the race started. Also will Soul Reaver 2 ever be fixable? There's not many other games for PS2 I even need.

Yeah, SSX is still broken. Config only fixes a few freezes but not all of them. I need some time to work on SSX and find the source of the freezes, I believe it has something to do with character rendering as current config branches over/nops some character stuff.

Yeah no hurry, you and kozarovv could do nothing else and you've already done a great, great service for PS2 games on PS3.

I remember making a list in this thread of like 10 games asking if they could be fixed and I think every one of them works now. My PS2 Slim is no longer needed. Tales of Legendia was the last one.

So I'm confused about something else I thought Valkyrie Profile 2 PAL was already fixed like a year ago or something. But I've read through the entire thread since about page 100 and I've seen where you guys are still trying to fix it?

That must be for PAL. For NTSC (SLUS-20293), all I get is a black screen, but the game is running, I can hear stuff in the background. ManaGunz's MD5 checker shows a good dump. Tested on a slim 2501A with Rebug 4.86.1 Lite.
 
Not exactly about compatibility but related to PS2 on PS3, did anyone ever get those larger virtual memory cards to work? I learned how to do it on psx-place and I can use them to store saves, but if I load them in slot 1 or 2 and load a game it always thinks there's no memory card inserted. I hate changing memory cards all the time and I have a lot of PS2 games. I don't know why Sony couldn't have let you make larger memory cards in the first place.
