Disables car shadows and fog to fix slowdown. The slowdown is largely gone, especially on the foggy tracks, but there can still be some screen jitter for short periods of time. The first two patches in NTSC-U version affect v1.00 of the game while the last two affect v2.00. Tested only NTSC-U v2.00 and PAL.

EDIT: Forgot NTSC-U had a GX config, so added that command back. I tested *without* this command and I am not sure what it is doing besides affecting something on the IOP.
Always with a phenomenal work !! :encouragement::encouragement::encouragement:

If I didn't mess anything up, it should fix all of the freezes (including the PS3 shutdown near the end of the game). Disc swapping during PS menu reset is still broken in netemu for both PKGs and ISOs, but I included it anyways in case it is ever fixed.

Testing is welcome, but should be good to go. :)

Has anyone played Vice City lately? I gave it a go today and everything seems really blurry, I don't know if it's because it was night time but the bloom effect seems a bit excessive, am I using a wrong/old configuration or is the game meant to be this way? If so I might actually consider buying the remasters on PS4 lol

Turn off the "Trails" in the game settings.

Forces analog controller mode to avoid manually changing. Thanks to @kozarovv for reversing!
Awesome, has anyone looked at MK Armageddon? (There is some lag during the fights and flashing artifacts in some stages) or is it not bad enough to justify making a configuration?

I didn't notice any lag or graphical glitches during my brief test of the game. I only noticed some frame drops that did not affect the game speed at rare occurrences.

Hello can you help me with a config file for urban reign ps2 ntsc, the problem of the fmv's. I´m new to this subject and dont understand much. (I searched for the problem and found your reply to the same problem)

Outrun 2006: Coast to Coast crashes before displaying the 3D car model on car selection screen on CECHC. Works fine with netemu.
Allow me to self-bump with a question. Can anything be done to get this game running on ps2_emu? It sees fluctuating framerates on netemu, so having it run on the actual hardware would've been a great help :) Thanks!

Apologies, I missed the part on the compatibility list where it says that the PAL version runs better than the NTSC one. I tested the PAL version and it does run a lot better. I have a quick question regarding this though, do the PAL versions normally run with a more stable frame rate than the NTSC due to the lower target or is that only applicable to some games?

@Agua Download and install the PS2CONFIG pkg from here: https://store.brewology.com/ahomebrew.php?brewid=310

WebMAN MOD will automatically set the config associated with the game when mounting. If you are using pkgs made with PS2 Classics GUI, download the config from here when creating the pkg: http://ps3.aldostools.org/ps2config.html

@Bazylski Probably not. :(

@Fabio2598 I actually tested with the NTSC version when I did. I only noticed frame drops on occasion that was independent from the game speed, so the actual game had no slowdown or lag. Maybe I am wrong, though. I only tested for 5 mins.

PAL games can have better frame rate and performance because it is running at 50Hz instead of 60Hz. In general, there is not much of a difference. It depends on the game. Valkyrie Profile 2 seems to drop less frames on the PAL version, but in turn it is running at 50Hz and not 60Hz. I much prefer 60Hz.

However, the notes of Armageddon say PAL at 60Hz runs better. Are you sure it runs better than NTSC, or is it just a placebo?

Awwww :( I got my CECHC for this game :( Thanks for replying however! I'll try setting random flags in the config file to see if anything makes it behave any different. It's really weird because it always fails as soon as it initializes the 3D car model, which means it probably uses some memory hack to move the model data quickly. Just an uneducated guess.

I only asked about PAL games in general cause the thought just happened to cross my mind while trying to sort this game out but I tested the PAL version at 60Hz with Progressive scan on as it said to do so on the notes and it does run a lot better than NTSC, the heavy frame drops tend to happen on the more detailed stages and the arcade final boss so that's probably why you didn't notice it as much. Thanks for checking it out though, it is very much appreciated.
