PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

Can you test the 3rd game too? I have a USB controller I use for PS3 and I can swap the d-pad with analog with a button press. So the analog becomes the d-pad and the d-pad becomes the analog

I don't have the third game, sorry man. It's just a spin-off and has nothing to do with the story of Kouldelka, SH1 and 2, and it's not that good apparently.

@kozarovv Can you look at the Yakuza chapter 6 freeze? Maybe you can fix it. If there is no chance to fix it I will continue my walkthrough with a save state from gamefaqs :)

@kozarovv Hi, I was able to get a hold of Klonoa 2 (PAL) and got to the problematic bit where you have to use a bomb to hit a gem, which is supposed to start an elevator but instead the screen goes blank and I have to reboot the PS3.

Apparently it affects 80gb semi-BC PS3s too, according to some talk in other forums.

I've attached my memory card. Appreciate the offer to help. :)

I think you copied not that memory card. :) One you posted is empty at all. :D

I looked, and can't find solution. :(

This time i have save. But I can't find problematic moment.. Level name or something like this will be VERY helpful.

It's called Ishras Ark. From the world map select the flashing red point and press start to skip the cutscene, then the stage will appear - it's the flashing red point next to a ship.

You have to grab an enemy and use it to blow up a gem to start an elevator, and this interaction crashes the PS3 for some reason. Unfortunately it happens pretty far into the stage so you'll have to learn the game pretty well. :p

I finished Klonoa many times, so is no problem, it was just long ago. :) Anyway fixing this will be pain in the ass because is so far from start. For every single test I need to play almost full level. So it take time.

Is that place where after turning on second engine/fan you going left, and there is a "bomb dog" and a elevator?

Or just. Is that first elevator on this level?
Edit: Ok assuming that I finished successfully Ishras Ark mean that I fixed it. Now I need to work little bit to make it faster. Anyway this will take time. I can post here test configs if you want. PS. That annoying jumping screen in menu also gonna be fixed. And important thing. I played at 50Hz. Is very important because for 60Hz game use different executable. I'm gonna fix 60Hz too, but for now let's work on 50Hz mode. :)

Ok @PlayThirdStrike for now I can't test more. One of configs from that post will work, one not. If any of them make game slower, is probably that correct one. I can't test more today, so maybe you can try. Sadly we need to go thru elimination way until we find fast config that will fix issue. I gonna try to make one playthrough per day with better, and better configs to make it best. Anyway any help is appreciated, just playing with configs, and saying which one work is enough.

To make sure your config work check config revision in upper right corner PS button menu. While secret menu is unlocked. Access the ps2netemu menu by pressing :psbutton: and then press the key combo (all at the same time) for a 7-10 seconds:
:but l1: + :but r1:+ :but square: + :dir left:
then release all 4 buttons, and press :but start:

Example of menu: https://goo.gl/images/4KjUez In place where it say :1, should be :17495 . That mean config is loaded. If it say "None" or "1" that mean your config is not loaded, probably bad file name.

@kozarovv You fixed it already? That's amazing. :o This problem has affected a lot of people - there's even a review on YouTube where they couldn't review the whole game because of that crash.

I'll be more than happy to test configs. I played in 50hz too, because of the more consistent frame-rate and less flicker. :)
