PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

Good luck with that one. Someone from developement team thought that 34 consecutive XGKICKs separated only by few cycles is good idea. :) Usually games with 3-4 consecutive XGKICKs can be slow, 34 is absolute record :D
that mean config possible?

Eternal Poison (SLUS-21779)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 10 00 00 00 58 BD 1C 00
58 BD 1C 00 00 00 00 00
Fixes subtitles being faded under background. I removed 0x21 command as I didn't see any improvement with FMVs. @ex05 Please test as I only did first scene after prologue.

The config works like a charm! I've restarted the first mission and progressed a bit out of town. All text lines are now shown and visible in the dialog boxes. I've attached some pictures. Meanwhile, I'll keep playing the game and report back if I find any further issues, but for now I'd say the game is perfectly playable now. Thank you very much for this.

On another note, if you happen to have the time and will, can you also take a look at the graphical glitch in Growlanser V (Heritage of War)? It's not game-breaking or anything, it's just a purely aesthetic frustrating thing: a black line near the character's mouth.

Anyway, I really appreciate the time and trouble you've put into this.

Thanks for info. Maybe you know about Barnyard game?
Barnyard, and games using the same Blue Tongue engine (https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/company/40279-blue-tongue-entertainment) require mipmapping. This is the same issue as Ace Combat series had before i patched it.

Maybe someday i will try to find where game generate mipmaps, fixing one game will fix other games done by that studio.

is
NHL 2K9 and

NHL 2K6
Nah, Ps3 should run them fine afaik. This is IOP timing issue, PS3 netemu wins here with pcsx2.

The Matrix: Path of Neo (SLUS-21273)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 0A 00 00 00 03 00 00 00
24 62 10 00 04 00 60 10 04 00 00 10 44 62 10 00
04 00 60 10 04 00 00 10 6C 62 10 00 04 00 40 10
04 00 00 10 00 00 00 00
Removes screen overlays and depth of field/blur to fix frame drops. Frame rate is now on-par with PS2 hardware in first 3 levels tested. There are still some screen flashes and glitches with text on main menu...unsure how to fix that. Otherwise, seems very playable now.

There's graphical problems only on main menu. It's an issue with text. You can always play the game without config if you want the matrix effects...game doesn't run too bad with the effects (frame drops don't affect game speed).

nice thanks
do you know how can i convert it to eu?

It's just a heavy workload game. Not a GPU, but the CPU intensive, because of some strange VU0 programming (it is a launch game ported from the PS1 by the way). None of the holy trinity hacks do work (0x21, 0x41 and 0x46). But you can speed up a bit by setting the NO-IPU Custom to a high negative value (something about -30000). Anyway, there is a HD port on the PS3 though.

I encourage you all to edit the compatibility list. Improve it by gathering as much information as possible. It would help everyone.

Heavy how?game is a launch tittle on ps2,i don't think game being graphicallly extensive on psx2 have anything to do with netemu, after all most CPU extensive game works on netemu.

I just find it weird game is also on slow motion on partial bc consoles.

nice thanks

If it is the final version of the config, I can port it later. I am playing with a Burnout Revenge config now, so no ETA.

The PAL version works great for me as long as you always select the 50Hz option right at the beginning. Jin's ending works fine too.

It is interesting since on the list it is written that the frame rate is more stable in the 60 Hz mode (or maybe I do not understand the sentence correctly).

This game is doing all the graphics processing on the EE with a help of VU0. No VU1 usage at all (the unit with the direct connection to the GS). Strange coding, tough to emulate, but the game looks very beautiful.
