PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

Persona 4 (SLUS-21782)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 89 3D 00 00 0A 00 00 00 01 00 00 00
60 9C 18 00 80 3F 02 3C 7F 3F 02 3C 13 00 00 00
00 00 00 00 60 F9 00 00 00 00 00 00
@pokegts90 This can potentially fix memory card corruption.

@Rafaelrios I literally just explained to you what P4 config fixes in my last post.
Quickly tested the config and it takes an abnormally long time to access the save menu (like 25 seconds to save).

EDIT: Can confirm it's not the iso. NET config saves in like 5.

Yeah, the config command affects memory card access speed. I think all it does is delay or slow the access to the memory card avoid the corruption. It fixes some games with this issue, but side effect is slower loading/saving with memory card. Burnout 3 isn't affected that much by it...only a few seconds slower.

This one should be a bit faster:
Code:
3D 00 00 00 89 3D 00 00 0A 00 00 00 01 00 00 00
60 9C 18 00 80 3F 02 3C 7F 3F 02 3C 13 00 00 00
00 00 00 00 DC 9B 00 00 00 00 00 00

Speaking of corrupted memory cards, I was reminded that the homebrew version of the AC5 game also has this problem on PS4, it can't be archived and suggests that the archive is corrupted, I wonder if it's the same situation as this game? If it's the same, @mrjaredbeta can you fix it?
Not sure if there is a command on PS4 to delay memory card access.

Like 16 seconds to save. Slower than stock config, but better than 25.

Will probably never happen but I wish there was a way like PS2 on PS4 to build a memory card into the ISO, so you don't have to worry about swapping them out on the xmb you can save as much as you desire.

I guess with classics it's already a thing, I just use ISOs though so probably not ever going to be possible for me.

@mrjaredbeta can you port it for ps4?

Tried the official release of Shadow the Hedgehog on PS3 and runs so bad.
a lot of framedrops. Any chance to improve performance?

Official PS2 Classic has an empty config. It shouldn't need any improvement. How does it run compared to a PS2?

jak series on ps4 runs at like 10 fps,not surprissed if that iss also the case.

so far every ps2 officially released work perfectly for me,i am playing persona 4 for about 20 hs without any issue.

@honhon isn't urr hd corrupted?

Sorry. It seems like it's a problem of the game rather of the emulation. But I don't remember the game running that bad on a real ps2

PS3 Gameplay if you are interesed

I swear this isn't an April Fools joke lol.

Scarface: The World is Yours (SLUS-21111) Experimental Config
Code:
3D 00 00 00 11 11 00 00 0A 00 00 00 01 00 00 00
00 62 4F 00 E8 DF 13 0C 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
Full frame rate fix.

This WILL fix all performance issues of this game. There is a downside...all tree and foliage rendering (and some smaller stuff) is disabled. I don't know the game that well, so if this directly affects any missions/the game in general, then it's not good. Otherwise, game is fixed for real this time. I only tested the opening mansion mission and got into the city...everything seems fine. Additionally, as good as the frame rate is already, it CAN be further increased by disabling some extra stuff like shadows, but I don't think it is necessary.

Someone who knows the game better should definitely test this and see if anything else is wrong/missing/abnormal. :)

EDIT: Testing some more, I have been getting a somewhat consistent freeze as well in the mansion mission. I will look into this.

I'm sorry if I sound demanding, but I wonder if there's a way to fix xenosaga's cutscene crash and hopefully have erde kaiser fix without the slowdown?

Is first time i heard about cutscene crash. Erde kaiser is possible, and mrjaredbeta shouldn't have issues doing that. I was just incredeble lazy while i created that config.

Okay, this current config will 100% freeze upon trying to load in next transition cutscene on mansion area. PCSX2 does the same thing it seems. I already found a workaround, but it disables much more than it needs to:

Code:
3D 00 00 00 11 11 00 00 0A 00 00 00 02 00 00 00
00 62 4F 00 E8 DF 13 0C 00 00 00 00 40 65 4F 00
A0 E0 13 0C 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
Additionally uses @kozarovv's config that disables post processing effects. If you really want to test it out without freezing, you can use this one for now. :)

It's cool. The game softlocked during a cutscene after the gargoyle fight. I don't know if it's consistent or not as i only viewed it once (the gargoyle fight is like 10 minutes long), but someone also said they were experiencing the same issue. Also there was one cutscene that is grayscale that shows only black (doesn't freeze and only lasts like 40 seconds).

Yeah, I used that other guy's save file from a couple months ago but I wasn't good enough to beat that boss lol. I died twice after a good 30 mins and I gave up on that for now.

If only the affected cutscene isn't after a long difficult boss lol. Is there anything I can do to help?
