PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

Def Jam Vendetta (SLUS-20639, SLES-51479, SLPS-25275, SLKA-25053)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 1D 00 00 00 02 00 00 00

Def Jam: Fight for NY (SLUS-21004, SLES-52507, SLPM-65907, SLKA-25230)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 1D 00 00 00 02 00 00 00
21 00 00 00 01 00 00 00
Sets a multitap in controller port 2 and remaps the controllers properly as the games require it. Command 0x21 set to 1 additionally fixes the possible infinite loading on start up for Fight for NY. I tested around 30 resets and I did not get a single problem. AFAIK, this is the first custom config using parameter 1 for command 0x21.

Nevermind, command 0x21 causes PS3 shutdowns in the middle of gameplay in Fight for NY. The Vendetta config should be used for Fight for NY instead.

@aldostools I see you already added the configs! My mistake, but the Vendetta config should replace the Fight for NY ones...

Just FYI, this new config does not crash PS4, but still makes no difference to multitap config

Digimon Rumble Arena 2 (SLUS-21067, SLES-52631)
Digimon Battle Chronicle (SLPS-25383)

Code:
3D 00 00 00 57 44 00 00 1D 00 00 00 02 00 00 00
Sets a multitap in controller port 2 and configures the controller ports properly.

I literally tried to get the game to freeze for 3 hours and I could not. If someone knows a way to consistently freeze the game, please let me know and I can try to fix it. I don't know why the game is labeled as unplayable on the list as it is fully functional besides this.

Oh hot damn, you fixed the Fight for NY infinite loading bug. Thanks! I'll be able to enjoy this game again soon :)

Edit: I saw the PS3 shutdowns issue in a later post - I still appreciate the effort put into trying to fix the game!

Fixes the reverb glitch causing the sound effects to loop themselves during playback.

Thanks @kozarovv for your outstanding reverse engineering work! This one is for you.

Firstly, I'd like to thank @kozarovv for the ongoing reversing and research of netemu and @Agrippa for fixing FFXII/discovering the use for this command. Secondly, I'd like to personally apologize to @aldostools for how long this post is. I did nothing for this fix. I am merely carrying the fix over to the games that require it. So far, these are the only known games.

KHFM and KH2FM are the only games out of the bunch that were tested and working. Some notes on the bugs are here: https://www.psx-place.com/threads/compatibility-list-ps2-on-ps3.1306/page-65#post-129702

And a video for KH2 here: https://www.psx-place.com/threads/compatibility-list-ps2-on-ps3.1306/page-39#post-90355

Amazing work is still being done for this emulator and I am excited.

ALL HAIL PS2_NETEMU.

Fixes the audio bugs when transitioning between songs (wrong instrument/pitch playing on song start). This happens on the main menus of both games, and also in the gameplay of Minna 4 during the music transition into the scorecard. These songs are sequenced samples and are not streamed, similar to how the bugged sounds on the Square games are played back through the SPU2.

how good is netemu now? Congratulations to all of you!!!

Now it is much better than OFW.

In https://ps3.aldostools.org/ps2config.html there are available:
- 2143 configs in total for ISO (CFW)...and the list is growing!!
- 695 custom CONFIGs for ISO
-1521 encrypted CONFIGs for PS2 Classics

Most of these game fixes are available thanks to @mrjaredbeta, @Agrippa and @kozarovv

In Ultimate Toolbox you will find customized ps2_netemu for CFW with added features like:
- Debug Menu displayed on startup
- Temperature monitoring when you press PS button
- HDD browser to load ISO
- Other mods combining these features

Fixes all slowdown caused by shadow rendering and the ingame HUD not showing. The HUD fix is taken from the GX configs. Sony did them differently for the PAL region...it works the same so I did not change them. The first 0x0A patch (and 0x0F for PAL region) is float adjustment for HUD, and second patch is skipping the shadow enable flag. Command 0x46 additionally stops screen jitter on the main menu transitions.

This game also supports multitap, but it works fine under default configuration.

Also, here is a slight adjustment for:

Everything is the same except that the config file revision is adjusted to the latest one. I just forgot to do that to them when I initially posted a few days ago.

Could someone take a look at the game Mortal Kombat Shaulin Monks and create a config for it? It has the SLES_535. 24. It is the European uncut version of the game. There is a config for the US SLUS_210. 87 version of the game. The Europe version also has graphic errors and glitches. Thanks very much!

Fixes the glitched video playback in other modes than 480i and improves the playback itself. Still few FMVs lag and stutter a little bit on specific points (for example the Chronicles of the Sword intro). I believe it could be caused by additional separate audio streams being decoded and a lack of processing power. The config is based on the old one we did together with @mrjaredbeta last year, fixing the game speed and frame rate.

F%$# Russia. There is no place for you in the civilised world anymore. May the Ukrainian soil be deadly for you invaders and bandits.
