PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

Any updates if a CUSTOM CONFIG for Tekken 5 USA (SLUS-21059) has been created. I want to complete all characters on Story Mode but it gets stucks on the loading screen forever when I'm about to play the Stage 4 as Anna :(. Also, the Devil Within mode experiences heavy slowdows when I am in large rooms.

BTW, how do I upload save files on this site? I can share a ZIP file which contains a save file where Anna is already unlocked. Do you prefer a PSV file or a folder of VMEs? I can share both.

Anyone has a config file for Nicktoons Unite, Spider Man 3 PAL and PES 2010 PAL?

Nicktoons Unite has corrupted textures.
Spider Man freezes after start video
PES 2010 freezes after Konami Logo

Try PES 2011 or PES 2012's config for PES 2010.

Nicktoons is currently unfixable due to its strange mipmapping implementation.

Greetings!

Both PAL and NTSC versions of Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future have a noticeable graphical glitch in one of in-game cutscenes - a relatively minor one, but maybe it wouldn't be too difficult to fix with a custom CONFIG?

The issue in question can be seen in this video (not mine and recorded on PCSX2, which behaves exactly the same) starting from 5:35:39, it looks like cyan flashes:

I don't know if this info would be of any help for PS3's emulator, but on PCSX2 it's actually fixable (for latest stable and older nightlies) by enabling FPU Negative Div Hack or (for latest nightlies) by switching either EE Rounding Mode to "Nearest" or Division Rounding Mode to "Negative" or "Chop/Zero".

P.S. Just in case: there exists a level select cheat for this game, it can be found at GameFAQs, plus I can provide savestates for PCSX2, if needed (though, I don't have ability to post links just yet).

L.A. Rush during the game (US Version) has darkscreen on cutscenes. I can hear audio but no visual. Any config to get it fixed? Thanks.

Where can I find the config for Nightshade (SLUS_208.10)? According to the PSDev Wiki, a config exists but it's not in aldo's tools ps2 configs.
Some of the graphics flicker a bit when a lot of enemies are present on screen, in the 1st mission the game looks fine but as you progress through the 2nd mission this becomes visible and annoying since there are a lot more enemy spawns.

I may have not posted it when I edited the wiki entry. I will try to find it and upload it here.

Playing FF12. The game runs fine. Minor sound effect issues after playing the game for a long time plus frame rate drops on quickening and Golmore jungle.

sorry for this noob question, I've read a lot of stuff here on PSX Place and I'm sure I missed something obvious:
how do you apply these patches on a PS3? do I put it in a text file or something? do I need to fix the filenames to be SLUS*.ISO and stuff?

running Cobra CEX Evilnat 8.4 / 4.90 on PS3 Slim (CECH-20xx)

The configs are not text files, they are binary files.
You must use HxD or any other hex editor to paste the patch codes.

Name file CONFIG file like the ISO with the file extension ".CONFIG" appended to the file name.
e.g. /dev_hdd0/PS2ISO/My Game.ISO.CONFIG

Alternatively you can download the config files from this page:
https://ps3.aldostools.org/ps2config.html

Thank you, I just tested and it works great.

Also, I have fully finished Wacky Races Starring Dastardly & Muttley (SLES-50183) and here's my notes since it's not on the Wiki:
Very minor vertex problems in the tracks: Alone In The Park (a bridge near the finish line), Terminal Turmoil & the battle map in Redwood Valley, they're fully playable still but noticable. All the other tracks and battle maps didn't have issues in my playthrough including boss races.
The game also has a shaking problem but it can be easily fixed by selecting the 60Hz option in the main menu - the game autosaves so only gotta do it once.

Btw, is there any way to stop the HUD in Ace Combat 5 from shaking? I know there is a "no interlace" code I can patch into the ISO but I wanted to know if it works before I do it since it takes too long to FTP.

Sounds like that could potentially be a VU sticky bit issue.

The no interlace code will halve the resolution at all times and is not recommended, but it will fix the shaky screen. The screen shakes because of dropped frames and slowdown. The PS2 would do the exact same if it is not able to reach 60fps in performance intensive scenes. Fixing the performance issues will in turn also fix the shakiness, but not sure if performance can be improved much for this game.

Maybe removing shadow rendering from planes, or some other effects. I was able to improve Ace Combat 4 a bit, but it did not solve everything, so I decided not to share anything for that.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds (SLUS-20566) (experimental code)
Code:
3D 00 00 00 11 11 00 00 0A 00 00 00 01 00 00 00
E8 18 20 00 10 06 08 0C 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
This fixes the flickering screen and graphics, but the ground and walls are missing most of their textures...this is really only for testing purposes as a real fix needs to come out of this, but its some progress at least.

EDIT: Actually doesn't fully fix the flickering...but it is heavily dependent on/related to this function

Hey any chance you found a fix to the flickering i was looking around in the thread but since there is a lot wanted to just ask let me know if any much appreciated.

From kozarovv: Replaces bad VIF1 CMD (0x12) to VIF1 NOP (0x00).

Fixes all flickering and missing graphics...an issue plaguing PS3 for a looong time. All credits and many thanks to him!
Hey again found it but now what do i do i have it on my ps3 but downloaded as pkg.

Digimon World Data Squad: SLUS_215.98 doesn't work on PS2ISO folder, game freeze.
This game work using the ISO.BIN.ENC (PS2 Placeholder format, but this game freeze too, when you enter in Evolution Map menu.

Hey, I wanted to know, did anyone ever find a solution for hokuto no ken: shinpan no sōsōsei kengō retsuden (the Arc System Works Fist of the north star ps2 game) and it's terrible frame rate on the ps3?
