Easiest way is to have firmware with cobra 7.50 or higher. Then you just put config to PS2ISO folder and name it like iso.

Example:

GOW.ISO
GOW.ISO.CONFIG

And emu will apply config at boot by itself.

Second way for older cobra (or for current if you want), is to use @Zar Managunz that can apply config file from menu, this can be easiest way for configs like baldurs gate. When one config work for many games.

Your config make no effect to the game, still hangs on first cutscene.

Cool. So now when I know how to port it, there is a chance to make some region config conversion. Of course not every game can be ported (Like some GTA series where patches are different), but when I get some free time, I will spam here some configs to test. ;)

I have a problem did not work, i test Baldur's Gate - Dark Alliance (SLUS-20035), Silent Hill Origins (SLUS-21731), Ghost Rider (SLUS-21306)
I tried two methods
first
Game.iso
Game.iso.config
in PS2iso folder and mout in webman mod
and second load config in managunz and to did not work
Am i doing something wrong?
 
Also here is something new that can work. Is more theory than anything else.. But worth to try.

In attachment i uploaded pnach file to apply for Valkirie Profile2 SLUS-21452 (crc - cabbe0aa). File on ps3 can be applied only using managunz, if miracle will happen and it work, it can be ported to normal config file later.

Anyway my theory is that master code for cheats in that game is removing encryption engine, is not confirmed in any way (really is just idea). But is known fact that applying cheats for tri ace need some ugly hacks even on real hardware. And that what is my file, its pnach file with master code to allow cheats. If i'm right, there should be even small difference comparing to normal boot. Also my knowledge about pnach is limited, so I'm not even sure that code is correct. :/ Anyway is worth to try, if anyone can aplly code with managunz, and post result..

Yes i have big letters in title

A.iso
A.CONFIG
or
A.iso
A.iso.CONFIG


Still nothing helps, game launch wihout a config file with old issue, no difference if i use webman mod or ManaGunz, i also checked in two versions US, EU. My webman mod is 1.47.05 and manaGunz is latest. Maybe some setting blocks files, because of what i see this should be work.

try with ISO in upper case too. Also try don't use spaces. What is your firmware?

Also @vaan @DEX357 @chicco33 here is possible fix for EU version of Rygar (SLES_514.45), is untested so any feedback is welcome. Don't try on other version, config is only for SLES_514.45 due to elf offset patch.

First of all I wanna try out your pnach file for Valkyrie Profile 2 :) Its looks promising :)

Cool. You can also try this. If author have right this code is for "Ignore GameGuard (prevents freezing)" CRC need to be CC96CE93 which make me think my previous code was bad.

Only le the latest rebug support config files.

Or you can put original ps2emu files in dev flash and let managunz patch them for you. You'll just have to mount a ps2 game and then if the files are the original managunz will patch it.

But I advice u to install the latest rebug : rebug.me

My games is US only, so i cant test PAL, sorry. If you try port Summoner config to sumonner 2, i test it with pleasure :)

Ok, how can I test it in Managunz? How can I add this pnach file to the game?
And you are right because the game CRCR is CC96CE93.
