PS3 Compatibility List - PS2 on PS3

Street Racing Syndicate SLES-53045 | 3 | cmd: 0x13 cmd: 0x0 cmd: 0x0
Not sure where you got that command values (i dont get why appears two cmd 0x0 at the end), but incase is right, you can try this:
Code:
00000000 3D 00 00 00 46 3D 00 00 15 00 00 00 04 00 00 00 =...F=..........
00000010 00 00 00 00 53 4C 45 53 2D 35 33 30 34 35 ....SLES-53045

*I just converted the command 0x13 (gxemu) to 0x15 (for netemu) and set the value 4 for it (because it seems there are a lot of games that uses that value)

Edit:
Ohhh, not worth to try, i just realized the command 0x0 in gxemu are function hooks (or something like that), so what u posted is right, and i cant do that

Anyway config you posted will work for: X Squad SLES-50031 , just remove ID.

Then maybe someone that have the game could try and post again if working :)

My first config, partially fail... but well it should even work in Street Racing Syndicate... is just i made the beginning only XD
Is missing the two 0x0 commands at the end that needs to be converted to 0x1 for netemu (i dont think is going to work fine only with what i did)

All titles need to be tested on selected games before adding them anywhere!

hehe, yeah, the commands that works as switches and the ones that sets a value with an small number are easy, we are suposing all them are using the "common" values (like when i set a 4 for netemu command 0x15... or the value 8 you used for netemu command 0x07)
But it would be nice to verify them in the real gxemu data for every one of that games... just incase are using other values in one of them that could be considered rare

For example there are some 0x13 0x2 but used only in configs with two or more commands 24D925891D for example.

I did small hex search and it look like situation is the same with 0x6 command. Anyway is obvious that configs need to be tested before adding them to any database.

Not work.
Edit: wait I didn't added 0000
Edit2: lol I wasn't supposed to add them. So is still not work.

And this? :

My worry about taking a look at the values used in all them is mostly to make a list of the posible valid values that commands can have (to use them later in other games that doesnt appears in the list)

There are some examples of netemu command 0x15 in wiki, and it seems in 100% of them the value is 4
But it doesnt makes sense that the only posible value is 4... it needs to be other valid values for sure
We know the 4 is ok... but probably 2 will be ok too (is just we never found an official example with it as far i know)... and well, probably all numbers under 4 are valid for netemu command 0x15

The same happens with other commands that sets a small number, are easy because doesnt allows for a big range of values, but we are still labeling as "unknowns" and we dont know the range of valid values

Basically using wrong values is also way to find out what they are doing ;)

DEX357 and guys, can you help me to test these configs? Its a free time killer to test them all alone :)

Yep i will test it, if selected, they will work for some id and they will also work for others you do not need to test all IDs.
I checked all ids, it's a few games in many versions, from the Asian region, I do not check any game because the console at these games turn off me.

there are ones that use 2..in the code tho i only see checked if the value is above 1...and the value is not saved.

Only these games left on my list:

  • Dragon Quest 5: characters stuck in cutscene near the end of game makes game can't proceed
  • Tales of the Abyss: characters stuck at Choral Castle
  • Black: at end of 4th level (The Foundry), player view begins spinning uncontrollably and game becomes unplayable
  • Dark Cloud 2: minor graphic glitches & some frame drop
  • Jak & Daxter - The Precursor Legacy: freezes randomly
  • Klonoa 2: always freezes at a certain point of the Ishras Ark level.(It is about at the middle of the walkthrough)
  • Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks: freezes at loading screen after intro
  • Shadow Hearts 2: randomly freezes, either for a few seconds or until you go into the PS3 menu
  • Tales of Legendia: color glitches, hardly playable

Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks works fine but little graphic glitch

Played a bit of Castlevania: Curse of Darkness until the first fight with Belmont without any issues. Nemesis2000's ps2wide patch converted to CONFIG along with the graphics bug fix really makes that game shine. Anyway, hope you all don't mind if I join in on some of the fun. Presently there are only a few PS2 games, two on above list, on my PS3 HDD at the moment, but I can copy a few more over for testing.
