Hello guys, I'm going mad right now, a couple of months ago I started getting the blinking red light shut off problem (mostly with PS2 games). I thought it was a problem with the HDD, I formatted it, downloaded RE 5 Gold Edition (before jailbreaking the console again) from my bought game collection just to test out if the console worked but it didn't even get to the title screen and it shut off.
I took my machine to a specialized technician and he did some work on the CPU by resoldering some contacts and also replaced the thermal paste, the problem kept happening, I completely replaced the HDD with an SSD and it still happens.
What boggles me is the fact that the shut offs only happen with PS2 games running from the internal drive, with RE 5 installed in the drive and Devil May Cry 4 also in the internal drive (any of the other digital games I've tried work fine)
Any game that runs from disk (even GTA V) or from a flash drive doesn't give me any problems.
The console doesn't even reach 65°C most of the time after the technician put his hands on it.
Anyone got any idea what it may be?
ADDENDUM: I just remembered that I tried to uninstall WebMAN Mod twice by deleting certain files, could I have deleted some crucial files that cause the issue?
Then again I installed the whole official firmware all over again after inserting the new SSD
