PS5 Cooling

Hoping to get my PS5 on the 21st at the Walmart lottery.

Is my area ventilated well enough for proper cooling?

The tape measure (set as 15.5") shows that it indeed will fit.

I don't know about PS5 cooling but in my opinion Claude Monet should burn in hell for what he was done to the art. And going back to PS5 topic, also would be a good idea to dust a little her new environment, to not suck it inside by fans.

;p

You're going to murder that console.

Also...you're trying to put it in an enclosed container, that board that is blocking back ventilation is NOT doing you any favors for air circulation. It's creating a steam room for your ps4, you're lucky that is surviving to this point. Sony made the vertical option so that people DIDN'T try to cram it in some cramped area that has issues with heat dissipation...

You want as much air surrounding the console as possible, and the more dust you put into the equation, the less of a chance your console is going to last.

Agree, the problem is the vertical "wall" at the back, and i see 2 ways to "fix" it, either cut the vertical wall (the cut will look a bit ugly but is not going to be visible externally), or move the shelf up

If i where you i would start by moving the shelf up, you just need to drill some holes at the sides
After that... calculate distances again and see if is needed to cut the verticall wall also

Good points. Will not be used until the obstructing MDP/chipboard can be cut/removed to allow proper ventilation,

I'm really surprised it has lasted this long (was lucky enough to get it on launch day).
