The PAL GX config that was created by $ony is bugged and uses the NTSC-U's disc offsets instead of the correct ones for PAL. @Agrippa discovered this a while back and made a proper fix for it as a CUSTOM config, and it is included in the database here: https://ps3.aldostools.org/ps2config.html

I have attached it to this post for an easy download. Just unzip and rename to your ISO. Or select it when creating your PKG with PS2 Classics GUI.

Thanks, first use the default game config file in PS2 Classics GUI, I'll try your config file later. Thank you so much
(This is the wrong reply, the other one is the correct)

@aldostools didnt ps2 classic gui download automatically the latest config files from the server when launching the app?

Maybe to reduce server request it may be better to add a button "download and apply latest config for this game" when converting iso to ps2 classic

What is the preffered order on the configs to try on a non-bc console ? CUSTOM is preferrable if it exists ?
Does it still work if the game gets a widescreen patch applied on the ISO ?

The PS2 classics GUI doesn't download the config automatically. It is responsibility of the user to provide the correct CONFIG.

The preferred order for the config is: CUSTOM, NET, GX, SOFT

CUSTOM generally is more recent and has more fixes or improvements than the others.

NET are similar to the official config found in the PS2 game from the store.

GX & SOFT are the internal configs found in these ps2 emulators.

It should work as widescreen patches have the same lenght of the data overwritten (so the offsets that could be used by config file should remain the same). Anyway better ask to @mrjaredbeta that know it better than me

@arcadekidflo Yes, @qawsed is right. If it is a direct hex edit that is changing instructions on the game's executable, then the patch will still work fine as everything should still be in the same place.

This is really only an issue with configs using command 0x0B and games with some sort of patch, like an English or other language patch for a game, as it relies specifically on an offset in the disc. Otherwise, most configs work fine with ISO edits like that as well.
