sp193 Developer Dec 9, 2019 #21 The usual refresh rate is 60Hz. If you force it to use a 75Hz video mode, it will run up to 25% faster. I guess the colour depth was chosen, to save VRAM. Unless it was chosen due to some similarity with the pixel formats used by the N64.
