PS3 Easy way to install packages over 4GB via webserver on PC

please tuto for nob
It does not get much easier than this, And I think you mean "noob" :)

Simple Steps:
1. Install Xampp and run it, click start apache at the top (Any webserver will do if you can use it)
2. Put your pkg file into the c:\xampp\htdocs folder
3. Download the xml file attached to this post
4. Edit the xml to include your PCs IP address and the package name and Content ID (in this section of the xml)
Code:
 <Pair key="pkg_src"><String>http://192.168.0.100/Large_Package.pkg</String></Pair>
 <Pair key="pkg_src_qa"><String>http://192.168.0.100/Large_Package.pkg</String></Pair>
 <Pair key="content_id"><String>EP0001-CONTENTID_00-0000000000000000</String></Pair>
5. Save it, and put the xml onto the root of a USB drive and put it in PS3
6. Run HAN Enabler first
7. Go to package manager.
8. Click the new link on your XMB to download and install pkg
9. That's it.

*Use a cable, it will be very slow on Wifi.

MANY MANY users have success with this method, if you cant follow these simple steps then just wait for better tool in a few days. Its simple text editing guys.

I really don't know what i'm doing wrong, the server is set up nicely because i can see it on other pcs, i modified the PKG name to my name and the content id to the one of my game but no matter what i do the "Direct link to package" is this black ball which doesn't let me download the file at all, just fails after a bit with a "80710092" error during download, what am i doing wrong?
show me your xml.

Can people please test a small pkg that is known to work first, using this method with badly signed pkgs with not work, this is not for fixing pkgs.

That looks fine. Have you tested a small package first to make sure you have everything signed right?

and don't forget to run HAN Enabler before starting download.
Something isn't going right when the HAN's Package Manager tries to connect to the pc, i can use the web browser of the console to download the files from the web server but in no way it works when i want to use it with the package manager.

I watched the video in the main post to be sure i was doing everything right and something is off, when i click the Package Manager i get another icon and the function to "Direct link to package on pc" with a black icon, as i click it i get some nameless black icon, as i click that one too it asks me to download another software to use this function, which isn't what is happening in the main video, if i try to dowload it gives the error.

Did i do something wrong with the Package Manager?

can you try with tiny package that you know works 100% , cos I have no idea if you just cant sign large packages correctly. Also I have no idea if you are able to use a webserver.

I got the download software error when we were testing I think it was when the server wasn't set to port 80.

Can't this be done also with miniweb.exe too? The server simple and its size is a just few KB. Also many users of ps3xploit 1.0 have used it.
Yeah, I tried it, maybe it will work for others, but for me it would only serve images, and it was super slow, like about 10 seconds to load list of icons, xampp was just perfect on install with default options. But yes, users can use any webserver as long as they know how to use it and it works on port 80 default, or otherwise we need to explain how to enter port too, and well you can see how much trouble people have entering Content ID so...
