I'm sure this will make quiet a few happy but why use the outdated Cobra 7.1 is what I'm wondering.

ermak86 = good people. he was the one who gave me the idea of the wave/coldboot hybrid which I think he uses with his firmwares.

I have always enjoyed his work and info but we have compiled binaries of 7.2 so I don't understand the regression. His XMB Lock is a good send of applications. The plugin even with a vsh menu has been a headache.

pinky atreyu187 thanks for your good words!!!

well some users have still older versions of cfw's or homebrews and others, and still supported this stuff.
example: some users is in 4.46 cfw and use older versions for no reason( just liked this version )
i think its a good reason to stay in 7.1 for those to want to have 7.1.
did you agree?

You can do a cobra 7.20 CFW Thank you.

You "think"? Remember that a CFW is not a homebrew... and any mistake writing to dev_flash could cause a brick (with luck a soft brick)...

IMO this kind of things should be tested/confirmed before a release... Also a PUP with that file already included (and tested) would reduce potential errors.

There are not major differences between Cobra 7.1 and 7.2...the main improvement is the addition of new opcodes to ps3mapi, so webMAN MOD can handle peek/poke with syscalls 6,7,9,10 disabled, and a few minor fixes.

the release for this fw is 7.1 and i not say anyone, "change to 7.2",my previous "i think" post is just a mention.i don't push anyone to do it!
my knowledge is up to 7.1. thanks.

His suggestion works by simply swapping the binaires. And either will work fine I just ask because I was curious if there was any particular reason this was chosen. I don't think as have any firmware actually packed with Cobra 7.2 besides Habib's 4.76, even Rebug still has 7.1 and will I'm sure till 4.76 REX launches.
