PS4 Factory Service Mode

I don't know if it's part of debug features (you might look). it's been so long since I've fiddled with the ps4 that I can't recall that option. why do you want to go into fsm? I think it's possible to at least get into kiosk mode. don't do that, 'cause I've heard that it can be a bitch to get out of. I did that on the vita, and there's a five minute time limit 'til the system shuts off unless you have the system plugged into an outlet.

There is a FSM "Factory Service Mode" for the PlayStation4, but so far from what ive seen its only accessible with a Exploit Tool, since most of the Firmware shown for the demo are 1.76 and 5.05,which coincidentally are the same firmwares that are exploitable, but there are no Homebrew to get you into FSM like the PS3 did, and dont get your hopes up, like FSM on the PlayStation3, its difficult to get out,not to mention access is more restricted as the PlayStation3, not really worth it, unless you want to flex about Factory Service Mode, and so far, nobody shows how to do it, aside of demos in action, and besides the only way to get a PlayStation4 is to send it to Sony Repair Center, and pray a dumb tw@t will be stupid enough to leave FSM Mode as a mistake, so when you get your console back, you´ll have FSM on it, but the mode is not really worth it,as each time you reboot the console, the internal memory is wiped, so always starts from scratch.

thanks buddy, really not worth it

I'm not sure. I'm only aware of it being on the vita and the ps4. you can use a button combo to get out of it to revert back. I mention the app in my last vita tutorial on using a demo for adrenaline, when you had to use an actual game. it's obsolete now.

thanks

edit: btw,do you know if the psp has it too?
PSP only had it with the Pandora Battery and the Magic Memory Stick, which you could buy the Pandora Battery from brands such as Datel, i used it once back in the day to downgrade a White PSP 1004 i had, about 12 years ago, but Service Mode only works with the 1000 Series, Sony removed this ability in the precceding models, so if you Bricked your PSP 2000/3000 back in the day, you would be pretty much screwed, not to mention permanent CFWs.

I think you use a uri call in order to get into kiosk mode, but with the ps4, I think the option is available in settings. I wouldn't try it, 'cause I think kiiwii's guide mentions some people not being able to get out of it.

alright, I just looked. here's kiiwii's warning about idu mode on the ps4:
WARNING: IDU IS RISKY & CAN ACCIDENTALLY UPDATE CONSOLE IF INSTRUCTIONS AREN'T FOLLOWED.
ALWAYS BACK UP SAVES, DATABASES, AND PROFILE FILES BEFORE ATTEMPTING THIS.

i bought a ps4 that is in fsm years ago because it was a deal. its at firmware 2.0x ofw not exactly sure because its currently collecting dust because factory service mode. was thinking now that there is homebrew there might be a way to get it out? any help would be appreciated
