@GiGaMe

Althought the 2124 can be related to the HDMI encoder and 2022 with the MultiAV chip, I guess in this ocassion the 1002 is more like to indicate the fault here: the NEC Tokins on the VDD of the RSX - the reason for my "guess diagnostic" is the lag you mentioned above.

Although blindingly changing the NEC Tokins is not a recomendation or a "cure for all evil on the PS3 world"; due the age of these consoles, I personaly change all of them with good Panasonic ones - Panasonic is just a preference here, any good manufactor and reputable seller should do as far the capacitance and ESR are par to the original NEC Tonkins (avoid cheap Aliexpress/Ebay capacitors if you intend to buy them).

I hope the above is helpful

Cheers

Thanks for your prompt response. I agree with you. I previously sent the other console to the "nearest" technician, and it turns out he put in capacitors; he put in two (420uf) for each nectokic... Something that puzzled me, hehe. And after 4 months, it finally died (I posted the error code in this thread earlier). The code indicated it had CPU-RSX communication issues...
Thanks, you're very responsive when you answer...

Hello, this is my first time doing SYSCON, so I would appreciate some help. CHECH-3001a KTE001 motherboard.
I bought it a few months ago and installed it, and as time went by, it would shut down when I turned it on or started a disk (about four times a week). The temperature fluctuated between 60°C and 66°C, but never exceeded 70°C. One day, when I tried to start a disk, it shut down and gave me a GLOD for about 10 seconds when I tried to turn it on. What I did was diagnose it with Syscon, and the results were as follows:

I read that error A0805FFF is related to the EEPROM being corrupted and that to recover my console I need to get an E3 flasher or Teensy, but I'm not sure.

After reassembling my PS3, I reconnected the fan to test the syscon again and used "bringup," "powestate," and "powersw" again. When I finished, I ran syscon errlog and got new errors.

Hey everyone does anyone has high qualtity pcb layer scan for playstation motherboard i got only vita psp and pqx-001 and a scph 77000x mobo scan multilayer since theres no boardview available publically i am going make one for each also does any know what software they use for boardview i am currently opting juggling kicad, orcard or a custom ai generating built
@sandungas @RIP-Felix @DeViL303 @vyktormvmpay25

I'll look at ps5 soft leack and use same software for board viewer.
Not anymore into console fixing but I'll give advice from my knowledge so far.

I believe A0805FFF is not a clear cut problem with the console NOR.
It can be (on my experience) related to BGA on the CELL and maybe some other issues.

I quickly found at least one reference in our forum about this:

https://www.psx-place.com/threads/syscon-error-a0805fff.39529

# A0404401 304AAC40
# A0403034 304AABF4
# A0404402 304AABF3

On the other hand, A0403034 is associated to issues on the RSX – can be BGA, can be the RSX itself – I guess you can find many references and some detailed explanations here on psx-place about it.

I hope the above is helpful

Cheers,
M

Hi everyone, i have a Slim PS3 CECH-2504A that does not turn on. That's the story:

I plug the power adapter, red led turns on. Then i boot up the console, bip, no video/sound signal at all, after few seconds the console turns off and the led also. A quick google search suggest a hardware problem so i decided to read syscon erros through a serial uart adapter, so here we are. I used SysconReader from here as PS3UART GUI gives me always "Auth1 response invalid" error (even swapping RX/TX pins) and that's the output:

Code:

2022 is dve error something like video out is not getting acknowledgement for processor trio
and 1200 error is thermal overdrive most associatated with GLOD like yours much likely a rabbit hole
has the console been flasheds delid dropped or repaired
have your tried repasting

Yes, a delid due to high temperatures. Before that the console was working fine

most likely a cell scratch upload hd photos of cell die and substrate without ihs

See attached file, i'm not able to do better pics with my phone.
Aside from some dirt and thermal paste residuals due to a quick clean, i can now see some scratches on the cpu...i guess it's a RIP

might be able to save you to clean off all the glue to see traces damage if only surface level then get a 11 blade knife to gently expose Cooper and use 138c or 183c solderpaste just enough to tin and solder 0.1nm jumpers with precision tip temp control iron
if you wanna have a adventure

or you could get it under a magnifer or scope and use conductive silver paste from lan rui but that remain question only if scratches a surface level get it all cleaned up and post

well you should first clean the adhesive than post photo here might be salvageable if only surface traces are damaged

Hello, i have a YLOD CECHA12, error is 0xa0403034 alone, nothing else
Warming RSX up with hot air gun didn't do anything and also the fact that SB UART log is silent worries me
I did enter the command to activate sb uart, tried tx and rx wires - no luck
I did it before on another console so there is an experience here
Anyway, is it possible that RSX is not the problem? I don't know anything about this console history, was it dropped or something...

I already made a 40nm frankie before but i don't recall empty sb log there, so i don't know if anything else is wrong here, maybe the SB itself? Or the CELL?

you have a 3034 error bga crack or some v line not coming up
