PS3 Frankenstein PHAT PS3: CECHA with 40nm RSX

Thank you so much and to your brother (my condolences) for creating this mod. Brilliant work. I have already tested your modchip and it works great. I've posted pictures and videos before. I installed 65 nm from slim model on cok002 and it works great. I've also written a guide based on your tutorials.

What do you think ?
everything is perfect, thank you for supporting the products we make, there is a slight change in the power section, this addition can be done or not, today I am not in the shop, tomorrow I will take a photo of the part, thank you

for some reason this makes me wanna learn how to make a custom motherboard for all the ones we accidently scrapped while learning to this point. Plus learning to make a custom board we can make it fit any model we like most and have backwards compatibility still while reducing power draw on OFW systems. But in saying that would be a long learning curb and probably pointless.

Welcome @botakompong it's an honor that you have joined us and are willing to help and share with our community. If you need any help navigating the forum just ask, we have many helpful members and staff. Until your post count reaches 10, you will be limited in what you can post and do. After that you can pm, create threads, and become a normal member. I'm sure there are a few here in this thread who have many questions for you.
I am sorry for your loss of your bro. Keep his spirit going by maintaining his mod. Thank you

I have a picture that I want to share with you, but I don't know how

I am not entirely sure why it won't let you share? In my case, I just press "upload a file" next to the button "post reply". And then add "full image" or "thumbnail" into the text. I dont know if you see that or are you using mobile version of the website? You can also probably just post link to the image straight in your message. If you are trying to send it only to me privately, there might be some limits to new users. Normally you click on someone's profile and it should show "start a conversation" (I have now sent you private message this way, you should see it somewhere in your inbox).

But for public forum messages, do you see this button ?

Don't worry, everyone here is reasonable and patient :) So when you press "upload a file", then you select the picture you want to share from your phone. And then click "Thumbnail" or "full image" , whichever you like. It should insert it into your message. And then click "post reply". That should be all.

I tried to add your phone number to what'sapp, but I am having trouble with it. Maybe it needs a country code.

thanks for friends who have helped, I try to explain how to change the voltage in cok-001 (1.2volt) to 0.95 volts
1. Unplug Q6200 in cok-001
view

2. replace with Q6200 from another machine (jpt-001, mpx-001, kte-001)
view

3. lift pins 2,3 and 4
view

4. ground pins 2 and 3 ( pin 4 nc)
view

5. finished

apparently we can edit if there is an error in the post, hahaha, i have a lot to learn, it's easier to fix the engine than to make a post

Hey there, thanks for keeping this project alive. Is it needed on COK-001 or is it optional?
EDIT: I don't know if it's just me but I can't see the pictures

I am assuming this applies to 40nm swap. Thank you. I understand this should make it run more comfortable and for longer.

What about 65nm?
Similar procedure advised? Or the same? Or not necessary at all.

The pictures are good
Thank you

true, only for cok-001, the appropriate voltage will automatically make the RSX endurance longer, but I tried not to replace Q6200, the results can last a long time too (more than 1 year)
can not see the photo, try to click the top right of the screen

as I remember for 65nm rsx there is no need to do this, because the required voltage is appropriate,
i suggest to use 40nm rsx, it is very stable

When he say COK 001 only,
Maybe he means all 90nm models?
COK 001, COK 002, SEM 001, DIA 001
What i understand is some of the first RSX models was working at 1.2v and some of the new ones at 0.95v

The voltage reduction is recommened if the RSX you are going to solder was working at 0.95v in is original motherboard (the 40nm ones probably)
The motherboards that was shipped from factory with a 90nm RSX was feeding it with 1.2v

But as far i understand that voltage reduction is optional, if you dont do it it will work but it seems it could short his life
