Funtuna Fork

PS2 Funtuna Fork 1.0.10 - FAT support

the machine is a scph 50004,and it freezes on another machine the exact model scph 50004

should i rather install original free mcboot, but i want funtuna to work on it.as it worked on all the others of the same model
The console where Funtuna worked has ROM v1.90, the frozen one has ROM v1.70. Anyway, soon FunTuna will work on almost every fat console thanks to OpenTuna, including your v1.70 50004.

thanks for this so before i install i will see debug info first as funtuna will only work on 190 versions of that console.when i get the machine back i will look at therom version. If the rom is a 190 then we got some other issue...lol.
Guys thank you for all the help,i do have a better understanding of the the rom versions.what i learned now is that no matter if the console looks, feels, shape, same model etc the rom version is important.

Hello.
I have currently FunTuna installed from 30 Aug 2020 on my PAL 90004 PS2. I want to know what's diff. between this fork and FunTuna? THAN-Q

  • Fixed bug related to FreeMcBoot behavior when the config file can't be loaded/found
  • The hacked icon is stored in a different folder to completely avoid any timestamp-related issue
  • A mod of wLaunchELF is bundled with the package. It has a timestamp manipulation feature that allows you to fix the hacked icon timestamp (or transfer the exploit into another MC) without copying again the PSU FIle provided in the install package
  • OPL 1.0.0 is bundled inside
  • Changed config file name to avoid conflicts with normal FreeMcBoot when saving changes to mass:/
  • Binaries are slightly smaller
  • 3 pre-made packages are provided: https://github.com/israpps/Funtuna-Fork#current-package-contents
  • USB drivers can be loaded from SYS-CONF if they're missing from BOOT

Move saves to *.psu outside PS2 storage media.

FunTuna will work from any slot AFAIK but uLE config using "mc0:/" or "mc1:/", instead of "mc?:/" so this is the only thing which will not work. So if it have any skin or shortcuts set up, then must be set up again.

El_isra updated Funtuna Fork with a new update entry:

Support for FAT units, Preconfigured OPL folder and reorganized package

  • Installer will read your console ROM version to calculate Opentuna variant needed by your PS2
  • If installer can't find OPL/conf_opl.cfg on target memory card It will write icons and config files to the OPL folder
  • Manual install package was reorganized

BXEXEC-OPENTUNA folder will contain a file called icon.cnf
This file will contain a small text string identifying wich consoles are...

El_isra updated Funtuna Fork with a new update entry:

Manual installation

Now the user can choose between manual or automatic installation

Manual = will allow you to choose Wich opentuna varíant you want to install (the one that works on the console running the installer will shine in light blue)

Automatic = the usual install method, will load opentuna needed by the console.

What is the difference between the:
FunTuna-Fork_Installer.ELF
and
FunTuna-Fork_installer-7fcd248.ELF?

First seems to be 1951kb while the other 21327kb

I cannot seem to find any difference between the 2 installs.

Also on both releases uLaunchELF for FunTuna network settings "Save to mc" feature always results in "Saved Failed" in cyan top left corner.

Apart from that, great work and thank you! Brilliant software and github automation is lovely!
