FunTuna (Free McBoot for Fortuna)

PS2 FunTuna (Free McBoot for Fortuna) v1 (r3)

Funtuna Fork is set to composite or component video by default? When the memory card with funtuna and opl is inserted into the PS2 Slim 90k, does funtuna become the console's default system, replacing the original firmware?

Video settings are written to NVM and FMCB not touching it.

PS2 don't have operating system. And you cannot replace firmware, it is on ROM chips.

My memory card has Funtuna and official OPL, I have a PS2 Slim 90k and I don't have an AV cable, is the default video setting for Funtuna composite video RCA or component video?
I need to connect PS2tohdmi adapter but I don't know if what prevails is the console's bios setting or the Funtuna setting

Would it be possible to strip the cheat engine code out of cheatdeviceps2 to just leave the basic ELF launcher for memory card, cdrom? & use it as a PS2Classic? then just load homebrew ELFs from the 2nd cdrom iso or memory card? on the PS3 netemu emulator?
Having a prebuilt cheatdeviceps2 iso or PS2Classic template would be alot easier than rebuilding & relicensing iso's for ps2 homebrew.

I read that it's more compatible for launching ELFs on the PS3 than uLE, an that uLE v4.42b works if launched with it first along with OPL 9.1, but OPL doesn't work with hdd & usb.
The emulator doesn't need ESR or IOPreset to launch homebrew ELFs? as you can swap discs virtually after it's booted a ELF launcher an bypassed the PS2Logo, the emulator only has a basic OSDSYS for cdrom access you can't use the cdplayer or memory manager like the ps1 emulator.

You cannot choose disc (disc image) to run. Always it is first, in all PS2 emulators on PS3.
uLE v4.42b
Why "b"? Not eg. "d"?
OPL 9.1, but OPL doesn't work with hdd & usb.
OPL v0.9.1. And supporting both. It is emulators which not supporting PS2HDD (mounted APA image file, one supporting it but needs EE/GS in PS3) and PS3 USB.

You misleading PS3 environment with emulating PS2 environment. ;]

Grandia III is multi disc.
I'd use any build of uLE or OPL, just whatever is most compatible with the netemu emulator, but i'm assuming cheatdeviceps2 is more compatible because it has less code to conflict with, i'm only looking for a basic ELF launcher for memory card or cdrom, i've tried a swapmagic iso an it just blackscreens.

Code:
0x3D => 0x3EA8 (16040)[/SIZE][/B][/SIZE]
[SIZE=4][B][SIZE=16px]0x00 => 0x534C55532D3231333334 (SLUS-21334)
0x000200 => 00=separator?, 02=total discs, 00=first disc

Code:
0x3D => 0x3EA8 (16040)[/SIZE][/B][/SIZE]
[SIZE=4][B][SIZE=16px]0x00 => 0x534C55532D3231333435 (SLUS-21345)
0x000201 => 00=separator?, 02=total discs, 01=second disc

I managed to make a valid iso of CheatEnginePS2 with the official sony cdvd 1.50 master disc generator, it didn't add the configuration .ini or cheat list .zip file properly because it uses the 8.3 naming standard & just auto sets the filename with a shortened ~ in it, if there's not enough data on the disc it also won't save the .IML template file for IML2ISO so you need to pad it out with dummy data, I used 75MB named as 0000.000, it ran with netemu but couldn't save the cheatlist or config file to the virtual memory card even though it could read my save files, mass/usb just showed showed a failed access message. rom:OSDSYS & Disc worked as expected, i'll see if I can make a working uLE or OPL iso.

You can use cdgenps2 to get around the naming issuse but it makes invalid isos without the PS2Logo & Licensing data so you need to patch the iso afterwards, all three or 4 regions use a different PS2Logo.

Update:
I made a wLE v4.43a iso the uLE version with the dvdvideo patch inbuilt but it didn't work with netemu, it black screens after the PS2Logo, it runs in pcsx2 an shows that it's loading the hdd modules in red writing at the top.

pcsx2 shows that it's checking the memory card for valid magicgate an fails, then it loads SLUS_999.99 from SYSTEM.CNF as normal, is there a more basic uLE build without the hdd modules, magicgate check an dvdvideo patch inbuilt?

Update 2: I made working iso's of build
uLE v4.42d & uLE v4.40h for netemu both use the uncompressed ELF not sure if the packed/compressed ELF makes any difference to the Entrypoint, anyway I'll upload a working iso with GSM & OPL once I confirm them working too with netemu, cdvd to memory card file transfers works so you can put up 7.8MB of homebrew files on each virtual memory card, network udp/ftp/smb saves & loads the network config fine but idk if network access actually works to load or transfer in uLE or load games in OPL.

I don't know if it's appropriate for me to ask this here, so apologies in advance.

I have a 70000 series PS2 which should support both Freemcboot and Funtuna, correct?
My question is: Given that fact, which option should i go with? Is there advantages to either? (I know Funtuna comes with fmc and OPL)

Sorry, i am new this stuff.
