is there any way to modify the names of game data, updates, or dlc with the PARAM.SFO. I figured game data may be impossible without hacking the games, but what about updates and dlc? I tried changing the names of four updates (the only four I have for my short list of games) within the PARAM.SFO, then reinstalling them as stand alone. now, this worked for all digital games, but updates to ISO games didn't. the names are still as they were. I thought maybe I didn't change the right language, but God of War Ascension only has only one title in the PARAM.SFO, so that should've changed if it was right. I'm not sure if it's taking the name from the ISO's themselves or not.
edit: I have an idea. tomorrow morning, I'm going to try deleting the updates (checking the original PARAM.SFO to see what the original names were). I hate game data stuff, because it's as cryptic as the 3ds when it comes to what's what. anyway, I'm going to delete the four updates, then put the modified PARAM.SFO files in their place and try installing the full update, when the update isn't on the system. it may not update the metadata database if the same version is already installed (for disc games only).
