PS3 Hacking & Jailbreaking the PS3

Hi guys, i bought a ps3 nand fat model with OFW 4.85
What is the most recommended method for CFW jailbreak ? with ps3 nand flasher v2.0.2 and nand flash memory dumper or the way BG Tools

use bgtoolset from **ps3xploit.com >Domain no Longer owned by team** (ps3xploit.me =new). it replaced 2.0.2 flashers.
 
Hello Everyone!
Years ago, I jailbroke my ps3 on fw 3.55. I haven't been using it for a loong time. Now I'd like to revive the monster after receiving 2 Guitar Hero guitars for free. However, the terms I read sound so unfamiliar to me :) So, what can/should I do with my JB'd FAT PS3 that is running on 3.55?

I have some trouble with hfw 4.86
firstly,I sucessfully hack hen on hfw 4.86 and now I want to come back hfw 4.85 for hack full cfw but i can not come back it.
my ps3 after checking version it inform 4.86 is latest version so no need to update
I tried to install ofw 4.82 but can not as well
it is strange that my ps3 can regcornize ps3updat.pup of hfw 4.85 but it can not recognize ofw all version even i used same folder path
pls help me,tks
my ps3 is slim cech 2500

try updating your JB CFW to CFW 4.85 or CFW4.86, ferrox or rebug are really good options.

Double check your date code for that 2500, it may not be CFW compatible.

Your best bet now is to look into ps3 toolset by bguerville,

if your ps3 is cfw-compatable then you have to jailbreak (and qa flag) before you can downgrade.

if you cant run cfw then you cant downgrade.
 
need help im doing a ps3 jailbreak on a 4.85 OFW im at the end almost done but when the time comes to download my own patch file to my flash drive it takes super long it even says 147% then when it gets completed i tried to load nofsm_patch_485.bin and it stops in one 1 sec and says "/dev_usb000/nofsm_patch_485.bin is not a valid patch file" please someone help i did everything the mrmario2011 tutorial

let the toolset download the file...then you know its the one needed.

ive been doing that 3 time before i got on here ig it doesnt matter anymore because i turned it off and then turned it on after you replyed and did it one more timeand it worked im not sure what changed it went to 100% this time ig it didnt download probably the first couple of time but thank you for the help

But during installation of cfw 4k pro give me error

Hi, I have a PS3 super slim with a jailbreak. I tried playing Red dead redemption but the screen blacks out and returns to the XMB screen. I opened multiman to change settings to the game but none of my games appeared. So I opened the desktop view, went through to dev_hdd0/game/bles80608/usrdir but I couldn't find GAMES and nothing shows under dev_hdd0/GAMES. They only show as BLES, BLUS, NPEA and NPEB files. Please how do I get them to show under dev_hdd0/GAMES?

Do you mean PS3 games, you could burn your Backups to disc but most people make backups onto a hard drive and play them like that. You can use any of the backup manager apps to copy games to internal (Multiman , IrisMAN etc), normally this is done by pressing triangle on the game, then selecting copy, then selecting the destination, the destination can be internal HDD or an external USB Device.

Hi i just bought a PS3 Slim 256gb A CECH25XXX console while selling the console he said its a jailbroken i didn't checked it due to lockdown cuz i have to buy its video out cable
However today i checked it that there are
1.PKG games are installed
2. Mmcm is installed but showing an error
3. I cant find package manager
4. Its is running on 4.82 firmware
5. Boot logo is official ps3 logo
6. I wanna check it if it is a banned console or what ? So i was trying to sign in my psn however its showing me to update to the latest firmware

So my question is...
If i update my console to 4.86ofw will i lose the PKG games which are showing up in the GAMES section??? Please reply ASAP

try to update to rebug 4.86. if it works then it is jailbroke. the games should still be there.

the 25xx are hard to tell just by looking. some can and some cant be jailbroken. you can also use bgtoolset to find out (and jailbreak it if needed/possible).
 
hey guys so i just got this ps3 FAT NAND256mb and i'm trying to jailbreak it.
i got two errors while checking the dump and i need help with it
