PS3 HAN Enabler 4.86 issues

everything in original HAN works, including act/idps

NOTICE: HAN Toolbox Unofficial 0.9 has been released by DADi590. You should use it instead now.

If anybody uses Unofficial Han Toolbox 0.8.1, I have made a package that fixes the Offline Enabler for HFW 4.86 so you don't have to be on the internet or use miniweb/kws to enable han. The toolbox is required. The scipt used was given to me by lmn7.

To install:
Enable Han
Install Unofficial Han Toolbox 0.8.1 (If you don't already have it installed)
Install 486hanenabler.pkg
Restart ps3


To enable han offline just open toolbox and select "Offline Han Enabler (4.86 HFW)"


If "(4.86 HFW)" doesnt show in toolbox then reinstall 486hanenabler.pkg and reboot.

To uninstall:
Just reinstall Unofficial Han Toolbox 0.8.1

NOTE: This enabler does not allow HAN pkg installation. It allows debug pkg installation and HAN licensed games to run, this was intentional because there is no point in resigning pkgs

I have tested with psn game. Disc backups (cfw2ofw style) do not need HAN enabled to run (only to install).

Ive added an explanation to the download so people know whats up.

Also if this offline enabler doesnt allow a pkg to install or run, i assume you can still use the enabler on ps3xploit site or in the han offline pkg and it would allow that pkg to install/run.

This is just so you can get going quickly (its done in less time than the website takes to load). Or for people who dont have internet on their ps3.

Just so you know...

On HAN if you are on the internet when you start a game, your ps3 does what every unhacked ps3 does...it sends a file to sony that tells them what game you just started.

This also happens on HEN/CFW...but HEN can use webman, psnpatch, etc to block things like that (or empty the file).

Your ps3 (if on the internet and not blocked somehow) will tell sony that you just turned the ps3 on, started a game or homebrew, when your on netflix, and all kinds of things. When you launch a game online, it tells you if there is a update for that game by asking sony for a file with update list...if you launch homebrew, the ps3 will ask sony's servers if it has a update for it.

For playing online while avoiding a ban, HEN at least provides a way to enable some protection.

And HEN does everything HAN does too.

I didn't knew that, thanks for the info, but i like HAN man, is more simple and is perfect for me the way it's
 
HAN has its uses and everybodys free to use what they want to use. I wouldnt have cared that it didnt enable if i thought it was completely useless to everyone.

I am a little surprised the devs keep updating it...they stopped updating hen for some older firmware.

its far easier to keep v3 tools updated, as the VSH rarely changes or does not change at all

the last update 4.86 there were 3 offsets updated, which coincidentally targeted HAN, whether on purpose or accident...lmao Sony :D

i get bored, i update old crap lol

Hey, HAN is useful for some people, and i think(im not a dev so i don't know) is easy to update.

i really like using han to install hen offline. I know @DeViL303 created an html page, which we can use to host locally via webserver and use to install hen without internet, but I like having both options.

I would really like the ps3xploit team include in the .zip of the hen tools package (in "release files" zip), this html page created by devil, for installing the hen offline.

yeah i like that method too but the release zip can be used to install offline also. there are several ways to install hen actually.

I think we need a new guide for newer stuff thats been released lately. the new cfw flasher is easy to use but new people dont know enough about the process to know what to do.

and too many people think hen is cfw. (it is not)

The installer html in release zip (being used with any webserver), still needs internet to download the .p3t (necessary for hen installation)

The devil303 method is 100% offline :)

you can change that file to use a locally stored file instead of download.

they like for you to download to make sure you get latest version i think.
