Hard Disk corrupt? - Game save Data & Trophy not recognized

It means that some was created when Your account wasn't tied to SEN account (all zeroes) and some are restricted to NPAID. UN i CID can be seen only in hex editor as they are not wrote in any showing meta data in SFO. I can't remember on which offsets but they are easy to find, especially in higher user numbers than 00h or 01h.

I logged into PSN couple of times only and i created a PSN account though i never used it after that. I suspect that Account ID 36 31 37 33 38 61 62 31 65 63 30 34 36 65 36 65 is related to SEN account. Some of the game saves were created after creating PSN account while most are before that.

But why does it matter? Whether its 00 00 ... or 36 31 .... or any number. These save files should be recognized. But i cannot use any of the save files. Neither 00 00 .... nor the other one.

By the way, my saved PSN account is now deleted when i did file system restore. I cannot create a login PSN because i am on 4.84. When i go to Signup/login, it says to update my firmware.

you can sign in once, to get a NPAID, make a new save game. copy it to your pc some palce other than the old ones, to not get confused.

Then open one ofe your old save files with aldo's Param.SFO editor. At the top of the window, is an Account ID button. it asks you to open a save file already signed with your NPAID. Brows to the file you created on your ps3, select it and it should copy the user id. Save it and push it back to your ps3.

When you're done, 99% you'll have to rebuild database

then there's nothing you can do. you can't spoof either. You need that account id, given by sony.

Update once, log in, keep a backup of the act.dat file that will be created in home\0000xx\exdata and downgrade again.

@snkplkn Reread my posts, I already explained how it works and what You need to do...

@SpyroMancer He don't need SEN to anything any more since he have jailbroken console. He don't need to resign saves (until have plenty of time to waste).

I got xregistry editor by stoker. I have copied PS3 registry from hdd flash etc folder onto my PC.

Now what should i do? What do i need to edit? How to obtain NPAID?

I want to restore PS3 system. Will it un-jailbreak PS3? Will i need to jailbreak PS3 again after system restore? Will my CFW be deleted?

I guess i should clean up my hdd now to get rid of all errors. I don't think this system has ever been restored. But since now i have lost all my trophies and save data, i don't mind doing a system restore.

How long does it take to restore system?

Just take out your hard disk, format it on pc and put it back in. Have a usb ready with the ps3 update file, and it will be formatted. 10 minutes work.

You already obtained it and paste in on the forum... Again, You didn't read what I'm wrote because I already explained that.

You saying You have loose Your saves and trophies but before You said that You made copy of them. Again, I see some inconsistency. ;)

CFW doesn't lie on HDD, instead on NAND/NOR. On units with NOR, after formatting HDD (God knows why), You will be forced to put USB device with update file (which means *.pup with CFW of course).

You do not need format HDD outside PS3. It is sufficient to choose option Restore PS3 System in recovery. This will wiped fs tables and console settings.

In editor, choose field with np account id and replace zeroes by Your own id. If You are still interested in that...

I don't know what you are trying to say. I have backed up all save data and trophies and hopefully i can restore them after format. Also i want to learn how to fix it.

I don't care about the trophies. I actually want only couple of save games which i was playing recently and about to complete.

In xregistry editor there is entry

Setting: /setting/user/00000037/npaccount/accountid
Data Checksum: 24463
Data Flags: 0
Data Offset: 71887
Data Header Offset: 18195 (plus 16)
Data Type: 2
Data Terminator: 0
Data Length: 17
Data Value:
Header Offset: 18211
Header Value: 2

what to do with it?

If You care only saves, and do not interesting to use them on another system there is easier way than xRegistry editing or resigning and reading with understanding other peoples posts. ;) Just use Fake Save Data Owner option in debug menu (You need debug XMB, so You need Rebug CFW).

Berion. I think you are high on something and you can't understand simple matter.

1. I have backup of all my Data (save game, trophies etc) and i do it every couple of month.

2. My hdd got corrupted after improper shut down.

3. All my saved data (on PS3) and backup (on USB) of save data is useless and lost to me (when i mean lost, i mean i can't use it anymore - all data is there but i just can't use it). But i hope that i might be able to recover it if i find some way to do it. Maybe be changing PARAM.SFO or Xregistry edit.

4. I don't care if i loose most of the save data & trophies. I am only interested in saving game data of few games which i was recently playing.

When i say that my Data is lost - i actually mean Data is NOT USABLE anymore. Its there but its not usable.

Berion, you remind me of famous British TV comedy - mind your language.

Nevermind.

I will Restore PS3 system. My webman also keep getting corrupted every now and then. Also i have done a lot of experimentation with PS3 since i jailbroke 6 months ago.

Now i will start a fresh with new system and with only selected homebrews which i need. All games and save data is already backed up. Hopefully, i would find a way to reuse save data.

I already explained to You twice what to do but You still claim You don't know what to do.

You are using very not precise language so don't be surprised that. In opposite, I'm using precise as much as I can because that's my Asperger's nature. ;p In example from last post, You saying about HDD corruption as something obvious, yet You didn't even tell us how You test this hypothesis. So... our communication is and will be hard, especially that my English is on very basic level and You don't want cooperate. ;)

Well, my last advice is firstly check S.M.A.R.T of this HDD on PC because maybe it is start dying (bad sectors, many read errors, calibration errors etc. etc) and all of this is waste of time. ;)

To reuse save data (and I writing this last time...), You need:
way 1:
a. replace np account id in xregistry to those read i.e from saves sfo
b. reboot console

way 2:
a. resign saves on pc
b. import them from USB via XMB

way 3:
a. turn on Fake Save Data Owner option under debug sub menu in settings

And there is no other ways.

Berion, you remind me of famous British TV comedy - mind your language.

I just google it and like it. Thanks. This is third old TV show which I would like to see right after "IT Crowd" and "Keeping Up The Appearances".

Some more recommendations in British Cinema if you are into classics

Blackadder goes forth
Good Neighbors
Only fools and Horses

Blackadder goes forth is like anti-war satire on World War 1. Other two are also comedies but you may not comprehend them very well because you might not understand all the puns intended in english humor. You can get subtitles from various subtitle websites.

It's a false positive. Follow berions advice, when it comes to this sort of stuff you are dealing with he is the best person to help you. Reread why he has typed several times and follow his directions. It's pretty simple, don't knock him for trying to help you.
Berion speaks English very well , don't disrespect him like that. Be thankful he is trying to help you sort your issue.

So HD Tune shows warning of something like millions of relocated sectors on PS3 hdd. I don't know how its possible. How can hdd run after these corrupted/retired sectors? And its still running.
